Keys to the game:

1. We need Playoff Jimmy, not Play-In Jimmy.

2. Give the ball to your 2nd best player who is also your 2nd best/most efficient scorer in position to score and stop neutering him. Not 30 feet from the basket or deep in the corner where they’ll just collapse and send double teams all game.

3. Screen merchants have to make their open 3s off passes from Jimmy and Bam when they’re nonstop doubled.

4. Spo needs to pull his head out of his ass.

5. Stop relying on a 6’0 fat 37 year old PG to defend in the restricted area and grab rebounds over the opposing teams far bigger more athletic bigs.

None of these will happen and as a result we will thankfully get the 14th pick worst case.

Complete rebuild is never going to happen. The best we can ask for right now is we keep our draft pick instead of trading it.

He's an expiring deal for teams looking to get out from long term money. He could work for teams that are looking to get out of luxury tax next year that have extensions looming. Maybe a team like Charlotte who has to sign PJ Washington and may be looking to deal someone like Rozier. We will have some options like that looming with that big expiring.

Switching should be situational and it should never result in our PG fighting down low with the opposing teams PF and C. It’s far too easy to expose. If not, id be fine going man and if you can’t guard your man then you need to park it on the bench. Either that or go zone with Bam in drop coverage.

Atlanta shot 24% from 3 and 59% from the free throw with 4 more turnovers than us and we still lost on our homecourt by double digits because we have Lowry fighting for his life in the restricted area while our center has the opposing perimeter guys bottled up. That’s great to have that but it means literally nothing when you have someone that small trying to rebound and defend their bigs.

I think he will have value (as atleast an expiring contract) if we are willing to take on long term $$. I don't think anyone is going to take him on just for the value he brings, so that would mean no draft picks or young players. Target should be currently underperforming guys on long term contracts, whom we hope to rehabilitate. Someone like a Duncan Robinson ... ugh, I think I just talked myself out of expecting anything now

Herro Jovic 2-3 1sts for a Donovan Mitchell type of deal from 3 summer. Lowrys (possibly Dipo too) expiring and a 1st like the Westbrook deal last season to fill out the roster with the perfect role players to compliment our 3 all stars.

Hit up JRich too and try to bring him home, solid 3 and D piece.

Utah, Nets, Hornets, spurs? Off the top of my head could be solid trade partners in this scenario

The big question that still hasn’t been answered is how are we going to get rid of salary without taking any back. 134 million dollar cap figure on 4 players is incomprehensible. I’m thinking Lowry and Herro would need to go in the same trade just to start shedding salary because then you add another 34 million with Duncan, Oladipo, and Martin. It’s a total mind **** wondering how they’re going to navigate the cap without Micky paying massive luxury tax

We may need a team like Portland to come along and offer a package for Jimmy in which case they would absorb his massive deal with available cap space

I hate rooting against my team but I'd like a swift exit. Not only would the pick be better but more importantly I would hope any remaining notion that we need to bring back and pay guys like Strus Gabe Love goes out the window. Our size and playmaking talent is sorely lacking.

Exactly my sentiments on this, just end this as swiftly and make the front office demoralized to the point to go scorch earth on the roster. We need another blowout where we get outrebounded, outhustled, with bad 3pt shooting, and our superstars play bad again.

Right, look at what the Lakers did with Westbrook. Miami may just have to hold onto Lowry until next year's trade deadline.
