Weird season series against them this season. Won both in a Miami minus Giannis and Middleton, got drilled by 30 at Mil minus giannis and lost a close 1 in Mil we would’ve won if Spo didn’t sit Jimmy the first 6 or 7 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Stats against the Bucks this season:

Jimmy: 22-6-2 on 15 FGA 54/40/87 shooting splits (4 games)

Herro: 19-5-4 on 20 FGA :o 39/33/75 shooting splits (2 games)

Bam: 20-11-3-1-1 on 18 FGA 50/0/67 shooting splits (4 games)

I’m expecting to get throttled at least twice this series like we just saw with Atlanta in Boston.

The homer in me says we’ll be able to steal a game this series, Bucks in 5

This series hinges on Bam. Not for his defense on Giannis, but for amount of mid-range space he'll be given as Lopez hangs back under the basket. If he plays like he did the last couple of games, then it will be a quick series as the Buck should dominate everywhere else. If he does start hitting those short jumpers, then Lopez will be forced to move up, and hopefully that should give Butler space to operate down low.

This is not Herro's series, as he should get bottled up by Jrue more often than not. Bam will be the reason we win or lose.

Let's go Heat & Let's go BAM!!

No more excuses for Herro or Bam imo, although Bam has obviously been excused for longer. But Herro has got to find a way to contribute, namely by scoring, regardless of the tough matchup. Plus anyway, Butler could very likely be Jrue's assignment.

Part of it is going to require correct offensive scheming to take the ball out of Herro's hands and spot him up more often than not. But he needs to make those jumpers and runners when open and even sometimes when not. This is the playoffs and he will officially have a bag next year. Now's the time to prove he's worth it, or continue to be exposed as one-way trash (who isn't even that effective one-way, since he's streaky and can't reliably get to the line).

All the same goes for Bam on offense. He needs to be the 2nd factor he's been being paid to be. I don't want to see any more made up stats about number of box outs or number of times helped Jimmy off the ground to justify his negative contribution on offense.

This is a nightmare series for us. In years past the Bucks shut off the rim but gave up a ton of threes as a result. Now they don’t even do that. It’s probably gonna result in us having to beat them by making a ton of long 2’s on offense.

Only bright side is the fact that the Bucks also aren’t a great offensive team? Gonna be interesting to see how we score.

Also wonder how Spo will manage to keep starting Strus with Giannis on the other side.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

My favorite is Friedell’s. He’s made a career of following Jimmy around, and yet he has it ending in 4. He doesn’t even give Jimmy the chance of going supernova and stealing one. He’s seen enough of this squad to know.

Probably going to get steamrolled this series. I'd be surprised if Miami manages to steal one game.

Looks like Lowry and Gabe are doubtful in game 1. Dipo going to start?

This is the worst matchup we could end up with and I cant help but think its a sweep for the Bucks with 3 games won by double digits and one game that's close thanks to Playoff Jimmy.

Having the seasons worst scoring team doesn't inspire confidence, but hey, at least we get 4 more games in exchange for the 14th pick!

I still cant get over how there was no trading Strus or Gabe for picks so we can get something for them. Now were looking at losing them for nothing or even worse, overpaying them like we have for Herro and Duncan.

Hate to be a negative Nelly here, but hard to be optimistic with this squad this season. Hope Im totally wrong and eating crow in a week.

Mia’s guards have to not get perpetually stuck in a torture chamber if they are gonna have any shot in this series.

Needs one or more of Herro, Vincent, Lowry, Dipo to be impactful each game or it’s gonna be a quick and ugly series.
