The difference in the conversation between the Lakers and the Heat is so stark. All I hear about the Heat is that they’re a fluky eight seed who got lucky that Giannis was injured.

The Lakers though, who won fewer games than us, are somehow not a fluke. Despite the fact that they beat a hobbled Grizzlies team in round 1 and are facing a 6th seed warriors team in round 2 who has been bad all year and had the exact same record as we had.

Lebron is lebron. Goat. Legacy. Age. Podcast and show topics keep going. Jimmy butler didn't even make the all star and doesn't care about that stuff.
AD is also full of hype and has games where he looks like a top 5 dude (disappears others). Bam can't even win a DPOY.
And finally LA drama and Westbrook and traded for a bunch of dudes from other teams to build up a roster and Miami heat has the g league all star team as depth. Especially with herro out we lose even more marketing appeal.
LA and Boston get ton of media attention and bias.

Yeah it's ridiculous...The Lakers did make some drastic roster changes through trades at the deadline so I can see them being better then their record shows, but this Heat team is almost the same as the number 1 seed last year. They did have a rough season though but have kicked it into high gear now.
