And you know what else, 22 fouls called in Miami, 18 on Celtics. Take out the fouls in the last 2 mins and that’s 22 Miami / 15 Celtics. The NBA thinks no one can see this but man… what did Miami do to deserve this so consistently?

I don't understand how this team is winning against all these playoff teams, Not since the 04 Pistons who imo had way better talent have I seen a team just out tough and smart teams like this, Jimmy is in the form of his life atm.

Without Herro, they’re better defensively and are more efficient on the offensive end, it seems.

I don't understand why he has gotten so little run from the Cs in the playoffs. He'd be a great fit in Miami, although he supposedly wants $20M a season
Here's to hoping they keep his arse on the bench!

The only thing the media would love better than a Lakers-Celtics Finals is if the Knicks could play against themselves in the Finals.

It's like we are in this bubbly dream. Haven't seen a sports team lately making a run like this Heat team is doing as of the moment.
Would be movie **** if we actually pull it off. Moneyball season. Bunch of undrafted scrubs taking the league by storm.

No chance he’s getting $20m.
Maybe we can trade him for Duncan lol.
He’d be a very good fit here though. 3&D 4 who fits us as that high character guy. He’s a role player, but he’s handy.
Then again, we could just roll Jovic as the KLove understudy and hope he becomes a young Love/Gallinari/Turkoglu hybrid or something.

The issue for Miami is going to be they (presumably) need to pay Strus and Vincent.
It'll be interesting to see what Miami does/can do with Herro, Robinson, Oladipo, and Love. I don't think Jovic is someone Spo would give significant minutes to in year 2.
I'd take G Williams for something around the MLE, although that is still an overpay, imo.

Boston fans unsure about keeping Jaylen Brown. Time to swoop in with an offer of Herro and a high five.

Re: R3G1: Heat @ Celtics, 5/17/23 8:30pm
I am going to be honest here, were absolutely playing better without Tyler Herro for a couple of points.
1. Our role players need rhythm to get into a successful groove during the game. Something that is harder to do when there are less shots to go around as Herro takes up a large percentage of them, and they are absolutely inefficient by league standards for a star. He also takes shots away from our more efficient players like Jimmy & Bam who are more prone to have a physical advantage over their defender something that Herro's lack of length, speed, athletism, & Agility is lacking.
2. When Herro is having an off shooting night its absolutely crippling for us, because your essentially throwing away possessions and on the other end he is easy to score on, putting more stress on our back line. Also causing our other players sometimes getting into foul trouble because they have to interfere once the defender beats Herro off the dribble.
3. Turn overs in the worst opportune moments, Herro sometimes loses his dribble or commits the worse of turnovers you ever see in a live game. In the playoffs every mistake is that much more cumbersome to overcome. He becomes a player that the other teams heavily focuses on as an attack weak point.

The injuries to Herro and Oladipo allowed the team to form it's true identity and put players in the roles they where meant to be in. The injuries helped Strus, Lowry, and Martin the most. Now if Herro where to come back I would say it would have to be in the 6th man role cause Strus has earned his starting spot and then some just on sheer fit with the starting unit. Guy is just built to be a natural big two guard and plays so well off of Jimmy. The guy knows his role too the tee. With that being said Herro makes way too much to be a backup two guard and should probably be starting on a team that knows how to mask his defensive weaknesses a bit better. He needs to be in a system that has rim protecting bigs and not a lot of switching. I'm fully expecting him to be shopped heavily this offseason while we try to resign both Vincent and Strus. There will be plenty of teams out there looking to take on Herro as their starting two guard next year without a doubt.

I agree with most of these points. It would be nice to get him back though in his role he had last year as a microwave off the bench in the finals. Would be way better then having to go through Duncan minutes. Going into next year I think they need to shop Herro for a better team fit.

I agree, Herro needs a shot blocking, tall center on the back line. Heavy switching defense is crippling for him, because he is hunted on every switch.

Bench role always suited him best with this team construct
