Its 2023. We are atop the east again.

The crown is heavy. We have been here many times.

An elite scoring power forward would put us over the top again. Jovic is waiting in the wings.

The future looks bright.

Thanks for the journey.

Thanks for the trip

We're the best again

An empire.

For some reason I stumbled on this, never seen it before but Amazing story of Jimmy from Jimmy. This is incredible.
Jimmy is one of those undrafted underrated, worked to get there, nothing handed to him type players for real.

Would still like to trade Lowry for something else that can help.

Lowry isn't going anywhere until February at the trade deadline that's when the big contracts that expire usually get the most movement and have the highest value.

If we can renegotiate Lowry and extend his contract to a mle multi year that would help

That's not actually how it works:

http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q59 wrote:A contract for four or more seasons can be renegotiated after the third anniversary of its signing, extension, or previous renegotiation (if the previous negotiation increased any season's salary by more than 5%). Contracts for fewer than four seasons cannot be renegotiated. A contract cannot be renegotiated between March 1 and June 30 of any year.

Only teams under the cap can renegotiate a contract, and the salary in the then-current season can be increased only to the extent that the team has room under the cap (and cannot increase the player's salary beyond the maximum salary). A renegotiation can only be used to provide a salary increase -- players can't take a "pay cut" in order to create more cap room for the team.

Lowry doesn't have a 4+ year contract.
Miami isn't under the cap.
The deal cannot be amended until July 1, and then of course, it is already next season.
Also, see bolded text.

The new CBA:

https://imgix.cosmicjs.com/25da5eb0-15eb-11ee-b5b3-fbd321202bdf-Final-2023-NBA-Collective-Bargaining-Agreement-6-28-23.pdf

Also confirms the language: (p. 255-256)

No Player Contract may be renegotiated except
in accordance with the following:
(1) Subject to Sections 7(c)(2) and (3) below, a Player Contract
covering a term of four (4) or more Seasons may be renegotiated no
sooner than the third anniversary of the signing of the Contract.

(5) In no event may a Team and a player renegotiate a Player
Contract from March 1 through June 30 of any Salary Cap Year

(1) In no event shall a Team and player negotiate a decrease in
Salary or in any Incentive Compensation for any Salary Cap Year
covered by a Player Contract.
