Of the undrafted, to me the names to look for are :

Justin Powell - a 6'6 PG with a great A/TO ratio and an absolute 3 point sniper. Can he defend?

Caleb Daniels - a 6'4, 210 guard, he's a tank, very strong and can move - can he consistenly hit shots?

Drew Peterson - a 6'8 guard - just a very Unique player, can kinda shot and pass and create, not sure if does anything on the NBA level.

Justin Powell will definitely land on the GLeague team if he wants it. He needs some serious gym and conditioning time to see if they can add some bulk and athleticism to his game. Like you saw Duncan Robinson taking it to the rim this post season due to all the encouragement and training similarly Justin will need to add strength and improve his quickness to stick in the NBA. Justin will ahve the green light as he is the only 3pt specialist on the roster.

Most interesting is if H3 is going to play his game and stand out or if he will try to be a nice guy. meaning he needs to prove miself alongside and over the Guards that have been with the team so long in Bouyea and Cain. They gotta be feeling pressure, which ever one of those 2 play team ball will also stay.

If Bouyea isnt one of the 4 best players onthe floor for both teams its time to move on.
Orlando Robinson should be a man amoungst boys, if not , move on.
I also expect H3 to make the all Suymmer league team.

Outside of miami Im most excited to see Scoot play, I feel like he is going to have a chip on his shoulder for a long time and will be explosive all the time. Him and Anthony Edwards on the same team would be nice. I also want to see the twins play and Chat if he comes back. No interest really in Wemby.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Really keen to see Jovic. He’s added a ton of bulk throughout the season, and I want to see if the 3 ball improvement is there. Point Jovic going to be fun.

I’m interested to see how we accommodate JJJ. Does he get clear out, iso opportunities? More catch and shoot spots to get him ready for the looks he’s likely to get playing with the big boys? Probably a bit of both.

Cain should dominate too. He was excellent in the GLeague last season. I expect he’s going to have a big summer.

Miami knows what they have with him already. We need to see what our other younglings have to give us.

Time for Jovic to dominate.

Honestly want Jaime to focus on playing the game we need him to develop more than anything else.

Taylor Funk is coming for it.

TBH i'm not sure Jovic is the "dominate" type of player.

I don't expect him to get 30 a game, or to be the main creator.

He's the type of player that if he reaches his potential, will be a great high IQ stretch 4 between Bam and Jimmy, he'll play off of them, hit 3's at a high clip, dish out great passes and help on the boards with his great size.

His potential is more of high end 3rd option on a good team, not necessarily the main hub of an offense.

It is even confirmed he's playing in SL? With Jokic not playing for the national team most likely and the only other PFs of note probably not playing due to signing with the 76ers and Poku being hurt (Vukcevic most likely playing SL as well,) Bjelica been hurt all year the Serbian team might actually need him at PF or at least get him some experience. The training camp for these is brutal and normal would start in early July.

I actually hope he plays for the NT rather than SL since they should be blooding all the young guys since it's a kind of changing of the guard era coming up.

Really just mean taking the next step for Jovic. But I think you may be underselling the range of his game. If he’s playing 30+ mpg, I’m hoping he’s up around 20+ ppg in summer league but we’ll see. It often depends on how much lesser players are dominating the ball trying to show out.

I will be keeping an eye on Powell. I am not highly confident in him. I watched game tape and did not come back impressed but I have heard scouts being intrigued by him. I found him to be very very stiff as a player. But hopefully he impresses me.

Very disappointed the Heat didn't get players like Craig Porter, Mike Miles and Terquavion Smith to the squad.

Wishing the best for Jaime Jaquez. Iv been keeping my criticism of the pick to myself because I knew there would be plenty. I really felt they should have taken OMax. Not gonna be critical of not drafting Whitmore because I do not know the medical scare that was present. The way the draft played out was how I expected and the Heat could of traded back in the draft and got the same level of players or traded up to get Hood.

But I guess the Heat seen the offensive potential in workouts in Jaquez and highly valued it.

I believe they will experiment in making Jaquez a point powerforward early.

Really only care about Jovic and Jaime in this, and whoever turns out to be the best guard.

I need Jovic looking like a starting PF. He dominated some G League games late, but we need to feed him in SL instead of guards who can't shoot chucking

Return to Miami Heat
