Nothing good for you will happen here.

Continue your fruitless discussion while other teams make moves and improve.

Max Strus - 10 shots per game.
Tyler Herro - 17 shots per game.

Strus - 11 ppg
Herro - 20 ppg

A few seasons ago, when Herro was only taking 11 shots per game, he was scoring 13 ppg. Basically, Strus.

Except, Herro's defense is really bad.

Nowadays, One is given a large ball handling role and backing by the coaches, the other is not.

This is why I said, guards shooting 43% with bad defense are a dime a dozen in this league, and his contract is terrible.

Just to clear something up, saw a few people mention Clippers and Eric Gordon not having his deal guaranteed and going to Suns on minimum...
Yes Clippers are cutting salary. No they did not waive or release him. He is just a Free agent now... meaning Clippers can still sign him but maybe less than the current deal. He isn't signing with anyone for the minumim... Clippers didn't dump him, just didn't pick up the option/guarantee his deal. It saved them 110M... easy move for them.

He's a FA going to highest bidder. Full stop.

Herro was overpaid. The new CBA may make his deal look even worse. He's not good enough to be a "big 3" player, and your 4th best player shouldn't be earning $27 million - $33 million.

To be fair most deals look bad but this is a very short sighted narrow point of view. Once the new NBA rights deal gets reached, 27 won't look bad at all. That makes the Beal decision even worse in retrospect. The Next NBA medial deal is projected to be in the 7 to 8 billion dollars annually. Imagine paying the tax for what two years before the new deal comes comes out, in the mean time ideally a championship or two since other owners are so scared to pay. The new NBA media rights will kick in 24/25 season.

yes you put it plainly, which is why I am hopeful we can include Herro in the Dame deal

Not good enough for the Heat to consider taking on his contract, considering their current situation.

Duncan sat the bench for the last two years essentially battling mental demons and had himself a flash pan moment in the playoffs. You guys are insane to go into next year trusting him at that salary. He’s one bad 1/10 clunkin night from full mental spiral and being an 18 million dollar paper weight third stringer again with no Strus making minimum to bail you out.

Powell is a better scorer/player than Herro and he’s making Duncan money. That’s not near as bad as Duncan’s contract, dude has been unplayable outside of a solid playoff stretch here and there last season

He’s well worth taking on if we can get rid of some bad salaries but i also understand the Clippers want no part of our mess either
