We don't have draft capital and we don't have talent worth multiple unprotected firsts save for Bam and Jimmy. I don't know what moves you guys think we could make to beat the Celtics/Knicks as is with what little we have to offer other teams. This was part of the problem with Cronin and is still a problem today.

Who do you all have in mind that would get us out of the East without giving up Bam? I don't see a way.

I predict Highsmith is going to get signed away by another team if not resigned within the first 3 weeks of the off-season. Caleb will hopefully be signed and traded away so that he doesn't leave for nothing as well.

3ammy, to answer your question from the previous thread. We could always be surprised, but unless he requested a trade, they aren’t going to get desperate. At the very least it’ll take about 3 picks, and Herro (plus anybody else that makes the money match). With Booker and Beal, they have no need and probably no interest in Herro. Herro unfortunately was useless in the playoffs, except one game, so his value remains uncomfortably low.

Miss me with that Cam Johnson talk. What a treadmill move. Does nothing to improve us unless Nets take Herro and give us picks. That way we lower cap and have ammo for Donovan. Otherwise it's nonsense.

And the Derozan talk. From a purely basketball, zero emotions or loyalty POV, I would take the picks from Sixers and sign Derozan as a FA in a heart beat. I've always been a derozan fan. But I just don't see it. But if we took the picks from sixers and dumped salary to sixers. Then sent those picks and herro to cavs for donovan. And got derozan on a 3-100M type deal.

Donovan Duncan Derozan Niko Bam
Rozier Jrich Haywood JJJ Love

Damn... we'd be a much better team imo.

Miss me on any moves that doesnt move us back to the ECF minimum. Cam Johnson, pass.. durant.. pass unless sthe suns are taking every awful contract from us

The move to make is moving Butler.. and if somehow we can attach another bad contract with Butler on a team that wants to win now.. do it.. robinson, butler and herro should all be available.

Wont shock me one bit if some surprise team like Denver calls saying they need Butler to push them forward against teams like Minnesota and Dallas.

Sammy, I want him too, but Mikal's trade may have set the market. We'd likely have to give up Bam.

I don’t think so! Contract situations and team needs will play a huge role here, he’s essentially a free agent. If he, Trae, or KD are moved it will be for less than Bridges despite them being much better players.

Nets/knicks was just a perfect scenario for all, Knicks really wanted bridges to complete their “nova core” and they just so happened to have a massive amount of picks to get it done (still have 3 1sts I think) and the nets decided to do right by bridges instead of being petty and got him to where he wanted to be. You could maybe see Utah and the Thunder overpay for someone like that as well, when you have that many picks you’re willing to take bigger chances

He wont. Quote me on that if he comes here. This isnt 2018. I say the Knicks, Celtics and even the Pacers are still better.

Feels weird watching us get leapfrogged by the Knicks. We feel so stagnant! Can’t we fuse with Kami or something? How’s Rozier’s neck? :-?

KD moves the needle as long as everyone is healthy. Asking him to solo-carry in 2024 is insane.
