Dwyane Wade Statue Bears Little Resemblance

I absolutely loved Dwyane Wade as a Player. His 2006 Playoff Performance against Dallas is arguably the BEST FINALS PERFORMANCE EVER.

So, I'm a bit surprised that the Miami Heat put a statue of Dwyane the Great that looks like they gave an 8th grader in summer camp a block of stone and said have a go at it.

Dwayne deserved better. Heat Management, which is not lacking in balls, should have told the sculptor no good, we ain't paying, and got a proper looking likeness of the Man.

In fairness to management, Dwyane was obviously heavily involved in the process and saw the sculpt well before anyone else. He obviously liked what they put together for him, even if just about everyone else is confused as hell.

Heat socials are sharing a lot of behind the scenes content now, and you can see DWade OK'd everything. We'll see if he feels pressured to fix the head and go with a more life like representation of him, as the current one is......yeah.....

It’s embarrassing. The face is wrong. The body is wrong. The pose is wrong. The jersey is wrong. He deserves better than that crap they put up. And Heat fans deserve better too cause instead of going up to it and admire and think about his legacy we’re just going to roll our eyes at it.

The statue is an excellent likeness of random crap on an announcers table.

Derrick Rose insists he doesn't want a statue based on 'the way people been creating them'

Rose, who said he would 'love' to have his jersey retired, seemed skeptical about a statue in wake of Dwyane Wade's

If the team had any self respect left they should re do the statue. Can’t stand the thought of the franchise GOAT being memed like this until the end of time

Word is that Wade had input on the statue, so I think it's going to stay that way.

Think of the money the Bulls can save by using the same statue. It looks as much like Rose as it does Wade.

It’s one of those save him from himself things. He could have input on the next one from a different artist or just ai generate it

We’re lucky the statue didn’t have Wade in a pair of stilettos
