They have an explosive back court, curious to see how we defend them

Are Blazers fans going to turn out just to give us **** about Jimmy? That's what I'd do if I was them.

Our team as currently constructed without Jimmy is already night and day better and more promising. So it would kind of just fall on deaf ears. We got the Dame package playing better than anything they got and in position to have plenty of cap space available. Meaning they couldn't sign anyone good no matter how hard they try. Our organizations shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

lol who cares? They could have had Herro on a silver platter (plus probably JJJ and a pick) and now he's finally turned the corner and looking at worst like a player worth the contract he's on, which is more than you can say for most of the league making more than the minimum. They're still awful and still look years away from being competitive. But hey, at least they can say they didn't trade Damian Lillard to the city he wanted to go.

I mean if Jimmy ends up somewhere he doesn't want to go, are you going to go post on the Suns board next season to talk ****? lmao.

I disagree. I still see the same player. I'm still betting on gravity.

Why would I do that? Suns fans aren't on here telling us how we're screwed and have no choice but to trade them our franchise player for pennies on the dollar, and laughing it up at our expense.

Heat fans got obnoxious as hell during that Lillard mess. We deserve to catch it.

Not too long ago some here were ready to trade the farm for old ass Dame. Imagine an FO w/ the same mediocre thinking. We’d be f*cked!

Let’s torch these fools tomorrow!
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Obviously with Miami, you can never count your chickens at all, but in terms of games coming up in the next two days:
- Heat SHOULD beat Portland, though is in Portland
- Knicks SHOULD beat Bucks in NY
- Cavs SHOULD beat Pacers in Cleveland
- Philly COULD beat Magic with Suggs and the Wagner's out, though I just checked, didn't realise Paolo is back. Embiid, PG and Maxey likely to be in the line-up.

Those outcomes would put Heat back into a tie for fourth in the East

Yah but in hindsight we were right, our package was good and even better than what we sold it as.

Too bad so sad for them

Dame would have been a way better fit with us though and would have leveld us up. Jimmy would have gotten extended too and we’d be all in, different timeline. You can’t take what’s going on in Milwaukee and map it on to us.

Yea we were fresh off a finals series with Jimmy Bam and a bunch of bums lol. The players Dame was replacing that actually played in that finals run we’re Strus Gabe Zeller and Lowry, I’ll take our chances with that and Dame has been elite in Milwaukee despite playing as a 2nd option.

Fair enough, I'm just going by what he's doing on the court. I'm not totally sold yet either, but as is, you can't deny the Blazers would have been better off taking the package we offered, or at the very least, it wasn't "robbery" like they and others claimed.

I think this is where you and I disagree, I don't own everything my fanbase does. This is a huge diverse group, lots of personalities. Every fanbase has idiots. In fact I'd argue just because you don't see idiot Suns fans on realgm, doesn't mean they aren't active on some other corner of the internet. You're arguing for some sort of collective guilt and I'm not about that.

Also goes back to the first point, Heat fans were actually right about how our assets were valued. So regardless of how obnoxious you feel they were, they were justified in feeling slighted.

Yeah we would have figured out filling out the rest of the roster. Dame and Jimmy would of been some insane firepower.

They weren't "bums" but Butler's key offensive games looking like an MVP level player in the playoffs coupled with Bam's ability to play DPOTY defense all the time allowed the rest of the roster to fill in the cracks and it was well orchestrated by Spoelstra. All Miami needed this whole time was a player who could drop around 20 a night with efficiency to further cover up the cracks. I think the FO believed that would be Herro but it took him too many years to get to an efficient level, normally you see that growth in the 3rd or 4th season, it took him 6 seasons.

Those 4 guys I just mentioned were in the rotation but no longer with the Heat and are terrible players, they aren’t good. Strus is decent I guess.

That was the 1 series I thought Herro might actually be able to help was against Denver’s drop coverage. Although if Josh hart doesn’t flop forcing a Jimmy injury that might’ve been enough too

Vincent also had an injury most of that finals. Health is key for a championship, Toronto had great luck with health while nearly everyone they played didn't and they won it all because of it. This is why when you have a chance you go all in if you can, most of the time it won't work since a lot of teams go all in, that's also why winning a Championship is so huge.

Return to Miami Heat
