Should we start a new draft thread Bish?

If we miss the playoff we keep this year's pick. It's a strong draft.

Start it up DOM, i'd say there's a 50% chance we add a lottery guy in this draft

We need another big or a point from my perspective.

We could have our own 1st this year.

Our first is lottery protected. If it falls outside of that it is in OKCs hands. Due to OKCs oversaturated pick warehouse, I wonder if theyd choose to defer the pick to 2026, or if they can.

Our 2nd looks to be going to Indy or BKN.

Basically our approach for this draft should be opssite to every other draft - useally we don't even care about the top prosepects because there's no way we're getting them outside the lottery.

This year, the only way we're keeping our pick is if it's a lottery pick, and with some luck we could jump a few teams if we miss the playoffs and pick in the top 10. Could be interesting.

Wonder if there's a high ceiling, not too raw PG in that range.

Heat are sitting at the the 15th slot currently.

I expect they will stay right around this spot.

With the number of teams with 19 or 20 losses, Miami could find themselves in contention for the 10th pick or the 20th pick and anything in between.

In a scenario where we lose in the play in game and therefor miss the playoffs -

What are the lottery odds of us jumping into the top 5?

Lets just say we miss the playoff via playin and then end up with the 10th pick. Wed then have a 13.9% chance of jumping into the top 4.

We are in a three way tie for 11th and a half game ahead of the Spurs for 10th, we play them next. We could be 10th after next game.

And thats probably where we will stay. We are a .500 team. If we can get some lottery luck, we might come out of this draft with the star we so desperately need.....or not.

Post talks about draft value. Flawed but not surprised to see Miami at the bottom of the heap.

Similar to Jovic will be a late 1st round early 2nd round pick Bogo(ljub) Markovic he's strictly a PF imo at 6*11 not as skilled (still has good skills) as Jovic imo but.a better motor/rebounder averaging 14/7.8/2.6 on 52/40/79.5 in the ABA

https://tankathon.com/players/khaman-maluach

Shooting 80% from the field and the line.

Big dude who moves well. 7'2" tall with a plus 4 wingspan.

As weve seen with Ware, the whole lineup is balanced when a true big can force mismatches.

Ware with Maluach as his sub would give us this advantage for 48 minutes a game.

I hear we have a 3x All-Star center who is also 4x all-defense as a center
