Playoff Predictions

Thought it would be fun to try to predict the playoffs.

East Rd. 1: Miami in 7 (yes, I went with a homer pick. If we're going to miss out on Flagg, we're going to do it in style.) Pacers in 7 ; Knicks in 6 ; Celtics in 5

East Conf Semis: Miami in 7 ; Celtics in 6

ECF: Celtics in 4

West Rd 1: Thunder in 5 ; Nuggets in 7 ; Lakers in 5 ; Warriors in 6

West Conf Semis: Thunder in 6 ; Lakers in 6

WCF: Lakers in 7

NBA Finals: Celtics in 6

They Lakers look like they aren't going to survive. I am shocked.

It was pretty clear that you were badly overestimating the Heat (fan goggles), but who would have guessed that I was too by expecting them to force the Cavs into a first round gentleman's sweep? :lol:

Yeah, as I said in other places, my head said Cavs in 5 and my heart (fan goggles) said Miami would do the impossible.

Honestly, I did not expect Miami's frontcourt to get killed so badly. Ware offered absolutely nothing (5ppg and 5 reb on 44-27 shooting splits). Wiggins was atrocious (11ppg on 37 fg%). Adebayo only showed up half the time, but he still shot miserably (43 FG%).

My Lakers in 5/Lakers making the Finals pick is looking pretty awful now, too. :-?

They totally blew Game 4.

On the bright side, I got killed on the boards for saying Julius Randle would have been good for Miami coming back in a J Butler trade, but he has done quite well in the playoffs so far.

And I can't tell you how much I am enjoying Gobert shrinking into complete irrelevance (3.5ppg 6.3 rpg on 31 fg% and 50 ft%). Even Kel'el Ware didn't have this bad of a series :lol:

dont feel bad this year predictions have been out of whack even by those of us that predicted a mediocre season for the heat. it went well below our expectations lmao

A little late to the party. But Im predicting OKC Pacers final lol

But in all honesty: I thought it would OKC vs Lakers & Boston vs Cavs. Boston OKC in finals
I had Boston in 6. I thought OKC lack of consistent 3 point shooting would hurt them against Boston who can get hot

Never saw Pacers and Knicks coming
Minnesota a slight shocker. I thought they had a small chance of an upset but I didn't see it being an easy W for them'
Also Nuggets taking OKC to 7 was a slight shocker. I thought Denver would put up a fight but OKC would be the clear better team. I thought it would be over in 5 or 6 at most
