What’d you think about game 1? Personally I liked the fight for the most part and I think the game was a lot closer than the final score showed. Definitely need to see a higher intensity defensively

I missed the second half though following along the gamecast it seemed like they could never actually get close. Definitely better than Memphis at least.

In the first half the only time I felt like we looked competitive was the Bam/Ware minutes, so basically the first 6-8 minutes of the game.

I also think playing Bam and Ware solves some of this attacking Herro issue, because you guarantee you always have rim protection. By only playing 1, all Cleveland has to do is pull Bam or Ware out of the paint.

We need to make them feel Heat Culture.

There's more that needs to be corrected than Herro and the teams overall defense from game 1, we only had I think it was 5 shots at the rim! And we hit quite a few tough bailout shots that managed to keep us in it that I'm not so confident we manage to consistently hit going forward. The offense is going to have to find a way to keep pace with the Cavs and I don't see it happening. The inevitable drought eventually comes, they pull away and it's game over.

Herro will always be hunted when he's on the court, and we need his offense so obviously he's going to be on the court. Spo likes to switch, there's ways to hide him somewhat, but he's going to be targeted and picked on regardless of what we do. I'd have Davion and Wiggins on Garland and Mitchell and Herro on Strus with a strict never switch policy. But then Ty Jerome comes out to flex on him, so it's going to be hard to hide him. Herro's going to have to find a way to be at least a bit better on that end and Spo's going to lean heavily on the zone I'm guessing.

He needs to prepare and play Ware much more. Both for offense at the rim, and rim protection/help defense. And then there's the rebounding and countering the Cavs massive frontcourt. Ware has to be out there, we aren't winning without him so throw him in the deep end. Let him help or learn how to for the future. If these games go by and we get swept and Ware only gets 20 min per game I'll consider that a huge waste of an opportunity to get him extensive playoff experience and minutes in a losing cause anyways. Also Larsson needs some run as well. It's a shame it doesn't appear Jovic is going to be ready in time to get meaningful minutes after such a long time out, but Larsson only missed like 1 game, get him back out there if he's not injured.

Anyone know what's going on with K Love? Getting him to chuck up 5-6 3s while J Allen sits back would seem to a useful 15 minutes.
