The 2025 RealGM Mock Draft kicks off on June 21 at 9:00 AM EDT, and the Miami Heat are still unclaimed.

This is a no-trades mock where each GM controls one team and makes its draft picks. You’ll be making real-time selections with a 4-hour pick clock (paused overnight). Just show up, draft well, and rep your squad.

To claim the Heat:
  1. Post in the signup thread: 2025 NBA Mock Draft – Signups Thread
  2. Add your name and team on the Google Sheet linked in the first post.

The draft is almost here—come claim Miami and make sure they’re represented by someone who knows their stuff!

Since no Heat fans volunteered I am picking for you guys. The mock draft has started. I have done my research. If you have suggestions, quote me here. My take on team needs is BPA, 2 way back court guy, 2 way wing ( defense key), versatile big/ swing . in that order. Cheers.

I think most people on this forum would agree we want a playmaker and offense generator, and ideally at PG. We just saw Tyler Herro get picked apart in the Cavs series on both sides of the ball. His defense was in the headlines, but our offense was equally inept. Heat were known for blowing 15-20 point leads last season, we lost like 17 games with that type of cushion, and it was because we would go through giant lulls of scoring.

We've focused a lot on the Saraf, WCJ, Jase, Traore type PG's.

We are looking at the KD trade despite his age because we think a 1a offensive player will slot all our guys down a peg where they belong (Herro as a 1b or 2 option, Bam as a 3rd). If a player in the draft had that potential, we'd possibly look at them at any position, but I don't think anyone is expecting that at 20.

Probably why many of us think 20 is going for KD or something else if that falls through.

I don't know the draftees well but much of our draft board convinced me to get on board with Saraf. If he was there he would probably be my pick.
