With villains like those, Cronin and Ishbia might actually be the heroes in this story.

To whoever it was that was saying that us not offering Ware and Jovic and picks meant we were never serious about getting KD, just want to say that's a pretty aggressive way of looking at it. Not overbidding for him =/= never being serious about getting him.
The whole point of getting KD would be to field some semblance of a win-now roster. Gutting your largest talents outside of Herro and Bam would do the opposite of that. Still does not mean that the Heat were never actually trying to get it done.

Full focus was on KD, this likely changes now

If they’re being deemed untouchables Ware and Jovic better become all stars or guys we’re saying we’re robbed of selections year after year.
Suns still never got their center out of all this.

More "linked to" commentary.
Writing content with vague wording to get clicks.
Wtf would we be looking at Kuminga? That solves none of our problems.

Ok so now that we have seen what the offer was and it did not have Duncan it pretty much clarifies the direction we want to take with our books. We need Duncan's money savings just as bad as anyone else and maybe that's our reluctance to include him in any deals that involves dollar for dollar. His 10 million in savings means just as much here because the moment we sign Davion Mitchell we are pressed up against the tax line again. Riley stated that this was going to be the year they will be looking to reset the repeater tax clock. Duncan's 10 million gives us the wiggle room to sign our draft pick if we do make the pick but the one thing that gets tricky is we really can't just trade it for a similar contract giving the other team the full savings without having to dump a contract to stay under the tax. Rozier's contract currently says 26 million due to incentives but he's really valued at 24 at the end of the year. We should be able to dump his contract out for someone like Holliday or anyone looking to dump a contract that has some financial constraints. Rozier and Wiggins are going to be the two main trade pieces this year that will help flip the chairs a bit without having to give up picks and young talent. Wiggins will be valued still by contending teams especially ones that have gone up against him in the West that need defensive wing help.

No they are not. He was injured. They allowed him to play with the injury. The injury just got catastrophically worse.

Have to be using us as leverage. Makes zero sense. He's not a ball handling SF and we have no spots open in the front court.
