As much as i love Riley , i think this may be the best thing for the HEAT.His Style of play is not suited for the New"NBA".Also when he talks about being attached to players, i think he is saying that maybe if he was not the coach that some players would be gone. And lets all not forget that when Riley goes up stairs and just thinks about building a team he is in my opinion the BEST. He would Rebuild this team to a Title Contender in 1 year.He would get us Rose or beasley and a couple of big free agents. Also Rick Carlisle is with out a job and i think he was one of the best coach's we could get. Also Scot skiles is there but rick is my guy. I Think that either way we just need to Rebuild this thing. As a Fan i see no Reason why to Do something for this year and just make moves for the Summer.Move Williams for Picks or Mikeal petrius. Time to Play Cook for large minutes. Also quinn so they get a feel for the game.ITs a Sad day to be a FAn but hey like the great pat Riley said "If you stick with this game long enough it will bring you down to your knee's"

I'm glad that next year's bench is getting minutes and experience:
PG- Quinn
SG- Cook
SF- Wright
PF- Johnson
C- Blount/Barron/Anthony
Now if Riley can just draft Rose/Beasely and fill that other hole through the MLE while giving Wade/Shaq time to rest this team will be right back on the road to contention. It's so simple.

^Considering most of our bench consists of NBDL players I would say given more minutes during the season they will actually be pretty decent. Quinn is the Heat's best NBDL pick up out of all the NBDL players we have on the team. I wish Anthony would get more minutes so he can eventually find his groove and start to have the consistent impact Quinn's been having.

if Riley bails out, I don't want him to take back the team if the team gets back in track.
And if he is planning to give it to Spolstra, he might as well give it to him this year, for a temporary role, to see if Spolstra is the man or someone like Fratello is the answer.
I don't want to go into next season, going with a Coach with no real Head Coach experience, he might as well let Spolstra get his feet wet right know.

Is not that simple.

He's not. He said AFTER this season, and that's the hypocrisy of people like you. If he were just the coach, you'd probably say he needs to be fired. Since he's more than the coach, if he's not performing well as the coach, shouldn't it be his responsibility to step down?

he was actually suppose to be the coach till atleast shaq retired but i see him and shaq are not on the same page anymore.

I don't care. If a coach isn't getting the most out of his team, and he's lost them, then under normal circumstances he should be fired. These are not normal circumstances.
how much longer do you see shaq being with the heat? I think the big fella is quietly gonna ask for a trade this summer or a buy out.

If DeAndre Jordan is there on our pick, you can bet Riley drafts him.
Riley has a thing for huge reaches. Though I like DeAndre's potential. He could be something special.

So I guess he lost them when they sucked and then got lucky and drafted Wade, and then Stan lost them when they were doing all that winning, and now he's lost them again when his W/L record might get tarnished (again)?

Looking at the Heat it's easy to see Riley was failing at both of his duties getting talent and getting guys ready to play. But I think he realized the fastest way to turn this around was a lottery pick, not struggling to make the playoffs and having to send our 1st rounder to Minnesota. Let him finish out this year thou b/c a new coach might not be able to tank if he is also auditioning for the head coaching job next season.
