I'm calling it, Shaq's gonna ask for a trade

This offseason, not this season most likely. He's going to see that we are rebuilding, he's going to see Pat Riley not coming back next season, and he's not going to want to be any part of it. I doubt he'll agree to a buy out, he wants to have his cake and eat it too (hence why he's so big), but either he'll publicly demand it and it will make headlines, or he'll privately demand it and the story will get leaked.

He will go to some team that had a disappointing finish yet again in the playoffs (Dallas) and so will end the era of Shaq.

I say good riddance, it was nice winning a championship with him, but his work ethic is not healthy for the team.

Shaq wants out already. Don't mark it down, it's done. That's a big part of the reason he's sitting out. Nobody wants his big ass contract, so we're stuck. IndoorOutdoor knows I'm good when I make statements about things, and this is another situation. He's openly made it clear he'd like out, but you can't just trade...someone has to WANT that person. We don't have that option.

Where did you hear he wants out from?

People are getting bold around here.

Obviously you couldn't tell I was sarcastic with the post. In case people didn't realize, I was sarcastic calling he wants a trade....it's common sense.

I'm trying to see what people's thoughts are on Shaq leaving.

Thoughts?

Shaq_Diesel is real talk.. I believe anything the guy says and I am fully backing him up on this one.. I personally have never heard anything but it does not surprise me the tiniest bit... Shaq was unhappy with the personnel decisions made by the Heat and he has every reason to be-- the roster put out this year was in no way capable of contending and at Shaq's age that's the only thing that matters to him. How he handles it now will be surprising-- if the Heat rebuilds this summer around Shaq (trading lottery pick for a veteran to help him, picking up stand still 3 pt shooters, etc) I'm sure everything will be fine and dandy but as most of us now that probably wont happen especially with him on a downward slide and us gearing up for Wade mode. Trades don't seem that likely and I doubt Shaq retires going out with this terrible terrible season but that may be his only option unless he's prepared for the Spolsetra era and the new fast paced Heat. Thanks for making this franchise legit and bringing us a title but we're ready to move on. After all we do have Mark Blount

You know what's funny Indoor? I dunno if you were sarcastic in your Blount statement at the end, but he seems to be outplaying Shaq. I mean look at Blounts production the past five games:

15 points, 5 rebbies, .600+ FG%

Now look at Shaq's: 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 blocks

Was being sarcastic but you're completely right at least Blount has been at the games.. Blount has been playing pretty well offensively, but his defense, turnovers and rebounds are still terrible.. He's definitely not a bad backup

No offense, but nowhere in that post was even a hint of sarcasm; and I'm usually pretty good at picking up on that stuff.

My thoughts are that Shaq should probably retire, but won't.
