I wonder if Turdchucker being waived was a sign that we are stepping away from the mentality of trying to get 3 point shooters. I mean, it's always useful to have guys that can shoot, but I think Riley realised that he needed marksmen to play with Shaq and Wade. Now that Shaq is gone, we can probably get back to trying to have players at every position rather than specialists to slot in with our stars.
I mean, we could have easily waived Joel or Alexander, and Luke was really starting to pono up lately (8 threes on 61% shooting in the last 3 games). I prefer that we could be trying to get 5 guys on court who can do lots of things, rather than having two guys around who can only do 1, but do them well. Hopefully that's what Riley sees too.
Or perhaps it's just a case of Turdchucker blowing.

A move for maggette?Lane1974 wrote:for some reason they love Anthony's potential
Alexander Johnson is really needed since we still have no centers or PFs behind Udonis and Blount (assuming Matrix plays the 3), plus he has shown he has some NBA upside.
I think there are other moves brewing
Wade/Maggette/Marion/Haslem/C
