The Offical Sign Antoine Walker Thread

Post#1 » by IndoorOutdoor » Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:13 am

If Antonie Walker manages to get free from the Timberwolves we should defintly look into signing this guy.. I think Riley could really turn this guy around and bring him back into All Star Status.. The guy is a winner look he already won a championship and played a huge role for his team.. He's a Riley guy big man who can shoot and dribble.. Let's give him a chance

No for real we can't keep this losing streak forever we need to bring in Walker to insure more lottery balls. All we have to do is buy out Parker and sign Walker to insure the #1 pick

J-Will/Davis/Walker/Blount/Barron -- 0-29

This is all a pipedream no way the Timberwolves ruin their lottery position by buying out Walker.. We should only be so lucky

The only way we get walker is if we can resign Luke jackson to a decent contract. Rumor has it that jackson is looking for atleast the MLE now.

I would endorse this signing. He's exactly what we need. We should've traded JWill instead of Toine. Trading Toine was the downfall of this franchise...

We need Walker back. I miss his shimmy and his deadly three point shooting would help the team immensely.

Walker screwed everything up while he was here. If we got him he'd take us on a 25 game winning streak and screw us out of a good draft pick somehow.

I do however wish we'd never traded him. Not only is it costing us a first round pick, leaving Blounts inflated salary on our books an additional year, and we didn't use Ricky's expiring, but this season would have been much easier on me if I could have blamed it all on toine.

If you sign him by March 1st he can be on your active playoff roster

That's incorrect. If he's waived by March 1st he can be on our active playoff roster. :D

Ha ha yea right he can barley stay on a nba team. how many teams has he been on?? Can you believe jus a few years ago back 04 the Cavs picked this guy after the year they picked lebron, and then this guy when they cleary should of picked Jameer Nelson who needed a point guard and three pt shooter both Nelson can do better. I hated this pick from day one, I remember Dick Vitale saying he loves this guy, saying how mature he is cause he went to college all 4 years. When comes to that I think it depends on each player and how ready they are, cleary even with 4 years and he was supposed to be reliable shooter lebron could turn to. I mean obviously there is no comparison and lebron went to high school so they doesn't mean anything.

As for Antoine Walker, he wont sign with miami just to help them loose and get a lottery pick that sounds great but why in the hell would he go back to a team that disowned him and are worser then the team he wants out of(twolves), i know he isnt good but he is person too, he isn't jus go to a bad situation just because he isn't a good player. I see him going to back to the Celtics come off the bench,I think he could still be a good bench player for a contending squad.

P.S look at his scouting report who wants to draft the next Brent Barry to their team in the lottery for real.
