We know, we know: the Calderon thread

Post#1 » by MartyConlonJr » Thu Feb 28, 2008 7:34 pm

Just because I'm aware there is a huge Toronto fan base about to arrive and make threads telling us we can't have Calderon in response to the stupid Realgm headline.

Yes we know Toronto will offer anything to the guy. Even if you are wrong about that they'll deifnately offer him the mid-level. We don't think we can get him, we probably won't even try.

I apologise in advance for Realgm headline makers who stole an insigificant comment from a much larger story and made it the headline, despite no indication Miami was interested or even looking to spend the MLE on a PG (There's like a 70% chance we'll end up drafting Rose/Bayless/Mayo/Gordon as our PG with only a 30% chance of Beasley).

Sure toronto will offer him the max?

He looks very loyal to toronto but TJ looks back and he show all the league he can be a starter. Lets wait how the season ends but if they are beat in playoff like last time....I guess he can look for sth new...

What about shawn, Wade and Calderon...Sounds nice. Calderon for 12assist with em.

According to my imaginary sources within the Raptors organization, Calderon has let it be known privately that he wants out of Canada.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Try watching a toronto game before you make that argument. Calderon would be exactly what your team would need, given the fact you got Marion now. Riley should throw everything at him to try and land him.

Always That one person. LOL How can he even argue Calderon over quinn. Quinn was unstoppable in Lord of the rings.

Quinn > Calderon
Quinn was the Capt of ND. Also was in the 3 point contest for ncaa. What has Calderon done???

I'm actually dead serious. Calderon could bring in the run & gun system and really jump start your offense. With Marion and Wade on the wings, your offense would be deadly if Calderon was quarterbacking the point for you guys. He's a beast.

Well rumor has it that he does not like to run and gun. When i watch him it seems to me that he is not happy scoring and would rather slow down the pace but if he did Kapono would get angry

Being a captain on Notre Dame basketball is not an accomplishment first of all. You guys obviously have your homer glasses on, or haven't watched a lot of toronto games because Calderon>> Quinn. If TJ ford was on the heat do you think Quinn would start over him? For those of you who play Fantasy Basketball, see how many people in your league has Quinn? Then compare that too how many people have calderon. In fact, see how many people have J williams who starts over Quinn.

Come on, you guys can't really think Quinn is better than Calderon can you??

Objectively, take a look at Calderon's game log, please.

Look, I'm not here trolling. All I said was Calderon would be a great fit for your team with Wade and Marion running the wing. It would be lethal, but if you guys can't get past my screen name then it's fine.

Man i don't know who's leaking all the Miami Heats information, but it seems like every other day theres a headliner about the Miami Heat being interested in acquiring some player they have no way of getting.

Are you serious? The only reason Quinn is not starting is Riley hates Guys from ND. Quinn would be putting up huge numbers in Tor. Calderon Is a product of Kapanoo and Moon. The guy may get MLE money but he is another Kwame brown. I think toranto should of never gotten rid of Luke Jackson. Luke Jackson > Calderon
