He'd be great if he could get his head on straight

lol... Gerald Green really kinda sucks tho... if someone could get his shooting more consistent he'd be a JR Smith kind of player, and I guess that wouldn't be too bad.

Why would we want Gerald Green when we have Joel Anthony ?
Ps. Sign him so that we have something to look forward to

green really does have all the tools and i think his offense is pretty smooth. this is low risk high high high reward, maybe he would mesh well with wade

this kid is one finger away from shooting + 10% from the field.

it would be awkward if he dunked or something and Wade says "give me a high 5....or I mean high 4 1/2!!!"

On January 23, 2017, I predict that the Heat will beat the Golden State Warriors 105-102.

The Heat have nothing to lose by signing him. I don't see why they wouldn't when almost half their roster is made up of NBDL players.

Another project player just seems redundant to me, with Cook, Wright, and the 1st rounder next season. How about some vets now?

There's a strong possibility that our draft pick will be an NBA-ready player, not a project. I don't see Cook becoming a consistent starter in this league, although I think he can be a very good off the bench scorer.
I wouldn't mind signing Green and giving him some playing time to see if he does anything. I don't see how it could hurt the franchise. If he ends up stinking it up, then just release when the season is done.

Yeah, the fall from grace is complete. I held him in higher regard on last years Boston team as a double digit scorer and good 3 point shooter. I'm amazed that at that age (21) with athleticism and an outside shot that Houston could drop him after 1 game. Surely there's more going on there or major character issues.
I remember advocating a Dorell for Gerald trade at some point, thinking both were the same age, build, size and comparable athletes, but that Dorell suited a running game while Gerald had a 3 point shot that would fit our Shaq/Wade team. Now he doesn't even have a spot in the league?
Anyway, at this point in the season it probably can't hurt, the team is a complete mess, Wade may be shut down and there will be major wing minutes if so. Maybe give us a few highlight plays to help make the last 21 losses bearable slightly.

He's got too much talent not to take a shot at. I'd prefer him to Cook at this point. He's young and has a lot of upside. Can't say that many players of his ability are available for what he's worth.

I wouldn't mind looking into signing him. The guy still has potential, not to mention he probably cant be worse then some peopl we've signed this year (Jackson, Penny) and he can't be worse then how some have played. If he doesn't prove anything, just sit em on the bench.
