Post#1 » by theonlyeastcoastrapsfan » Thu Mar 20, 2008 5:14 pm

I ask because I figured the Heat would have some Cuban fans. I am going to be in Cuba during the playoffs. I 'm a Raptors fan and I am curious if I am going to be able to watch the games the resort I'm going to in Varadero? ....thanks and I hope you guys get healthy and set up well for next year.

Yes... I heard Fidel is a huge D-Wade fan and Raul Castro sees great potential in Dorell.

....most Cubans aren't allowed in the resorts you are going to. It's likely the family of any Cubans on this board won't have access to such things anyway.

Watch the games online? I'm sure most good vacation resorts would have satellite tv.

^ I'm not sure if Cuban resorts have high speed internet? I think I should be able to get ESPN and even a Canadian news channels as since Canada is friendlier towards Cuba than the US, it gets a lot of Canadian visitors. The only thing is will the stations I do get carry the games? i expect every playoff game to be broadcast on ESPN, or at least I hope so. It's silly to travel all the way down from Atlantic Canada to a Cuban resort just to sit in front of a TV on your anniversary, but she knew what she was getting when she married me.....Thanks for all the tips, and I love Shaq, but th way he left Miami and burned you guys will be a blemish on his record, not yours, imo. Peace.

In Cuba, there are two television stations. One is the government run station showing communist propaganda 24 hours a day. Second station shows a communist party member telling you to turn back to the other station.

Old joke from a Russian comedian about Russian TV under comunism that migh apply to Cuba.
