Utah forward Carlos Boozer says that rumors involving him and the Miami Heat are just talk, according to The Deseret News.

Next season Boozer can opt out of the final year of his current contract with the Jazz and negotiate a potential six-year deal worth an estimated to $136 million.

Boozer responded teasingly to talk about the Heat, "I live in Miami — I'm going there no matter what I do; that's home for me. That's just talk — I've been talked about in rumors my whole career."
Sound like Pat I 'll will be available next season
If you can make a couple of trades to fix me in next season I live in Miami
make it happen

or

Maybe the guy just wants to finish his career in UTAH...

Boozer would love to play here. It is home. There are some family health issues that make South Florida ideal. But let's face it... at the end of the day, he'll take the most money, just like he did when he went to Utah after promising Cleveland he'd re-up if they declined the team option.

I'm just not sure I would invest max money in this guy. Assuming he comes back from injury, I'm more comfortable in Brand, mainly because his wingspan would allow him to play center. He just has no neck.

I think it would be stupid to continuously keep PF trade rumors in the air (boozer or brand) after drafting beasly. We need to get off that “veteran preferred players” stuff. This years proved that it’s ability not experience that counts. kobe, Kidd and others came up short, wasn’t even close.

In addition, Riley doesn’t seam to be able to say the right thing about keeping it’s own superstar, how in the heck can he attract another superstar.

Our name was all over the draft before we finally selected the guy we were going to select all along. Instead of making MBeasly feel good that the heat wanted him, he had to feel like he was chosen because some deal fell through.

Can’t wait to hear more from our NEW COACH, enough of the president. We're beginning to sound like shaq, always wanting to be in the news.

so because Kobe and Kidd weren't veterans that won, what does that make the Celtics? They are all veterans who won.

I think Riley did what he needed to do to get the best possible scenarios to expose themselves. Obviously he didn't get one rich enough for Beasley and I didn't think he would. The only players I'd trade Beasley for would be 2 all stars or a superstar. And nobody is going to give that in return.

As for making Beasley feel comfortable that he was the Heat's guy, I don't think that college players should come into the NBA with those expectations. They haven't proven anything on this level, and should feel blessed to be chosen. He should know the NBA is a business and you have to get the most out of any deal or for any talent that you have to bargain with.

As for Boozer or Brand, I'm not interested in either now that we have Beasley. We need to keep Mike at PF, and look to fill other portions of our roster.

Yeah, we should stay away from vets because Kobe lost in the championship game.

You're just going to have to deal with the fact that Riley prefers veterans and that if a good one comes along, a la Kobe, Kidd, or even vets who are role players, we're going to take a look into acquiring them.

As for the rumors of trading the pick and Riley supposedly not being enamored with Beasley, we don't know how much truth to that there is. My personal opinion is Riley probably wanted to trade the pick. He alluded to that, saying his guys got him in a room and made sure Beasley got drafted. I don't think it was so much his distaste for Beasley, but the fact he probably could have addressed a few of the Heat's needs, while still keeping a prospect coming Miami's way.
