SouthEast Divsion

I think we should have an official thread to talk about the other teams in our division.

I feel its great news that the Wizards re-signing both Arenas and Jamison for that kind of money...they look like a future 45 win team..or at best 50 wins...thankfully they didnt go after a legit big man like Elton Brand.

Charlotte seems to be going on the wrong direction.

Orlando are the top dogs of the division..they have a great trio..Courtnee Lee was a great pick...Rashard is overpaid, so they might not have much leverage. But theyre a legit 50-55 win team.

Right now we are at the bottom, but i think we can jump Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington....and with free agent moves its not farfetched that we can make a run at the division title.

If Wade is healthy again... no way we're below Charlotte with a Wade/Beasley/Marion trio. Matter fact, if Beasley becomes a stud sooner rather than later, we can challenge for division title w/ those three as long as we add a couple decent pieces to the team via FA.

Atlanta is the only team to look out for, Thanks to Rashard Lewis(Still cant figure out why they gave him so much). Atlanta has the making of a very good team but the one thing that could derail them from becoming elite is money.

Ranks as of now.
1.Atlanta- up and coming team
2.Orlando- Howard is a beast but is stuck in orlando alone, thanks to lewis
3.Miami- still young but we could pust for 2nd if everything goes good

Atlanta ahead of Orlando? Not seeing that.

1Orlando
2Wizards
3Heat
4Atlanta
5Charlotte

As of know the Heat are at the third spot, Heat could take the two spot though if Beasley develops faster. Or if we get busy in free agent market, we can be back on top of the division.

Warriors offer max deal to Arenas. If they take Arenas from the Wizards, it could look more like this:

1. Magic
2. Heat
3. Hawks
4. Wizards
5. Bobcats

Even though I feel like every team in the Southeast division has the talent and potential to be
"good", most of the teams will fall into the "above average" range, with Orlando having the best chance at being "good."
