Big test for the Bruins. Malkin and crosby are rolling. I am benching Malkin in my fantasy team :P

Lucic was skating with the 3rd line yesterday, and axellson on the first.

I don't really know why Julien did that. The Savard-Kess-Luc line had been doing fantastic things this season. Why screw with what's working?

According to Fluto’s article, Julien wanted to take some pressure of Lucic and to allow him to get back into his more physical style of play. Seems like a good reason as any; Lucic hasn’t been playing with the same vigor the past couple of games. It’s not like they’re suffering for production either.

That is true.

But there is something about PJ that I am not getting. It seems like every year whoever the coach is, Julien, Lewis, Sullivan, always plays PJ on the first line with savard or Joe Thornton in years past and my question is why? I would like to see Kobasew play with savard, maybe get him going again. Or even Shawn Thornton to add grit to the line now that lucic is on the 3rd.

I like PJ though. on the penalty kill. I love watching him out there he always makes a good contribution.

Heh. I think it’s because Axelsson has that David Eckstein scraptacular grittiness thing going for him and coaches love making an example out of that kind of work ethic as a way to motivate players. Plus he’s a good forechecker and a solid two-way skater, which opens up the lanes for the other guys alongside him.

Good name drop. I was thinking scalabrine, but didn't want to put Axe in that level.

As for the game. the bruins took the air out of the stadium tonight. Very impressive showing by the B's.

I'll tell ya, I really thought it was just a hot november by the b's--OH damn Fight!. There we go Lucic, oh man, what a fight. Win goes to lucic. Ha, that was awesome, caught me off guard. Anyway I really thought the bruins were going to come back to earth in december, but they have been playing fantastic. It looks like they are for real.

5-2 final

I wish I could have caught more of this. Savard and Wideman both with 3 point nights.

Good win and nice thread man!

CJ was just lighting a little fire under Lucic, he hasn't been playing to well the past few, so it was just a temporary move to get his head back on. He was getting a little to over confident. He only recorded 1 hit in the past 2 game before the game against pit. Expect lines to go back to normal soon.

Also nice goal by savvy and Marty St.Pierre. That kid has some real nice skill.

5-0 road trip :o ...who can say anything right now????
