Another Kitchner Ranger, just like his teammate from the year before - The Calder Trophy Winner Jeff Skinner. I am sure Skinner told his bosses just how much Murphy can add to the team. Very happy with the pick. He was projected to go between #8 or #9 in most Mocks, and we got him at #12. Gotta get a little bit stronger and gain some weight. Let's see how fast he can work his way up to getting ice time in Raleigh!

Agreed. Seems like the Hurricanes seem to draft for offense and then trade or go the FA route for Defense. Really like what they have done this off season. We should compete next season.
