Opening game and we host Tampa Bay; they are whipping us 5-1 late in 3rd. Skinner has the first and only goal for the Canes. Picking up where he left off

Well, starting out like crap. We are 0 - 2 - 1 . Skinner starting off well, tho. Has 1 Goal and 4 Assists. Whole team has to get it together quickly. Dont want to fall back too far this early.

Skinner with the game winner with 1:24 left in the 3rd. Lifts the Canes to 2-2-1. They started 0-2. Skinner has 2 goals and 4 assists in his first 5 games this season. No slow down from last season.

Not seeing a Sophmore jinx hitting the kid. 6 pts thru firt 5 games. Couture, Hall and Grabner each have 1 pt apiece so far. All 4 are good, but so mamy "experts" thought Skinner would regress this season. Not going to happen.

Lost tonight. Skinner looked good with a goal and 2 assists. We have to improve.

Improved to 5-4-3 with a win tonight vs Tampa Bay. 2 Goals for Skinner. In 12 games, he has 6 goals and 6 assists. No Sophmore slump here!

OUCH!! Jussi out for 3-4 weeks with the leg injury suffered against the Lightning the other night. That will really hurt, and cause some shifting around a bit on the lines to compensate for his loss.

Get better quick Jussi! We need you!

4 games, 4 losses. Playing bad hockey right now. Skinner has 2 assists in this losing streak, but no goals.

Canes break the 4 game losing streak. 1 goal and 2 assists for Skinner. That makes 7 goals and 10 assists.

OK. We are 8-11-3 heading into tonights game hosting Montreal. Fairly evenly matched as we have 19 pts and they have 21. We have won 2 in a row, and this is a really good opportunity to make a 3 game streak as we go into Thanksgiving. Skinner has played well the last 2 games with 2 goals and an assist. He has 9 goals and 12 assists for the year in 22 games. Long as he builds off of last year's stellar Rookie year, I'll be happy.

Heartbreaking loss 4-3. Lost the shootout 1-0.

After yesterday's disappointing loss to the Senators, Paul Maurice was let go by Carolina for the 2nd time. And if this next Coach is unable to turn things around, Maurice will be back for a 3rd time in 5-6 years.

Lol. I don't even know what i'll do if they rehire him again.

Hopefully a new voice in the lockeroom is what this team needs. There's way to much talent on this team for them to miss the playoffs.

I like the hire of Kirk Muller. The other Cane fans I spoke with today do as well. Hope the team responds well and starts to win.

Muller gets greeted with a 3 - 1 loss at home to Florida. But Skinner responds with Goal #10. Man, he is really the only bright light for the Canes this season.

Muller is 0-2 now. Lost 5-3 to the Rangers. But Skinner gets #11. Kid just keeps on rolling.

Boucher to the IR. Skinner was scratched last game, and today they say it was for an undisclosed injury. No word on when he returns.

Skinner and Pitkanen out indefinitely with concussions. Cannot play around with stuff like that. Keep Skinner out until he shows no symptoms and is fully healed.

Hey ohara who do think the Canes will be putting on the block now that your chances of making the playoffs are pretty much done.

I've heard Ruutu's name mentioned. Who else do you think might be on the block?
