I've been trying to speak lead assistant Borrego into existence since Griffin was hired. Get it done. Makes too much sense. He's been a HC, has sound offensive philosophies, and has to be eager to repair his reputation and get his name back out there as a legitimate head coaching candidate again.

Stotts would be cool, too, for many reasons. We would get europa back, right?

While it wouldn't necessarily make me like the Griffin hire, adding Borrego and/or Stotts to his staff would be a good move imo

One thing I like about Borrego or Stotts is I doubt either ever gets another HC job so you wouldn't have to worry about losing them so you could have this pairing set for the foreseeable future as opposed to a Kevin Young who might get a job

I agree for Stotts but Borrego is only 45, from Pop's coaching tree and only has one failure under his belt (with arguably the most dysfunctional franchise in the league). I think Borrego's main motivation in taking this job would be to help us get back to the promised land and become the bell of the ball in the next coaching carousel.

Agree 100%. Especially with Borrego. Sign him ASAP.

Does Epicurus come back is we sign Stotts?

I wonder if terms were agreed with Griffin before the Monty Williams announcement. He's getting about a ⅓ of Monty's annual salary. Market has probably shifted a fair bit upwards after the huge Detroit deal.

Ohh, was it Epi? I thought it was europa that was Stotts' biggest fan but I think you are right. Been a long time.

IIRC Epi was a father figure to Stotts. Would welcome that smatchet back.

The arguments between Epi & GAD were peak RealGM days. Let's run it back.

We can probably put together a really nice staff since Griffins salary is pretty small compared to other contending coaches. Not saying that was a deciding factor in choosing him because the owners have been spending .

Is Stotts potentially key to getting Lillard on board with coming to Milwaukee?
