I can do that when NBA.com updates. Defensive possessions and matchups aren't up yet.

Which is why it's a no brainer to play him more consistently and with the regulars. Garbage time with all bench units is not going to help him grow. Let him get comfortable and confident and play with the starters where all he has to do is fly around, disrupt things, set screens, jump over people, get out and run with Giannis

Same with Green. You simply have to find a way to use a high level skill. It's a 3 point shooting league and we play Pat and Wright over Green and it's dumb. Imagine Green on the Heat, Spo would make Green useful as ****

And while we're at it, this is less likely and more hot takey but give Rollins, AJ and Livingston a shot- they all also have specific attributes that we should be able to use despite their inexperience. AJ and Livingston have more length and quickness than the corpses playing over them and Rollins is actually a backup PG unlike Wright, or PAT. I'm sick of watching our old dude role players give us nothing.

We play guys like Pat, Prince, Wright, even Trent and Bobby all heavy minutes while the young dudes with energy, urgency and usable attributes rot on the bench and play sparingly. We should inverse this. Inject the youth into the rotation (at least AJax and Green but I'd honestly YOLO it with all of the above) and use the cooked vets sparingly. You simultaneously inject more athleticism into the rotation while also lower the workload on the washed up old vets.

The other tweak I'd like to see while Khris is out is keep Dre in the starting lineup but to replace Prince and not Trent. He's a better fit to take advantage of the Dame/Giannis gravity and makes you a tad bit quicker. We have a better shot at defending the perimeter with Dame-Trent-Dre than with Prince who can have use as a backup small ball 4 next to Brook or Giannis.

Dame/Rollins
Trent/Green
Dre
Giannis/Prince
Brook

That should be your primary rotation with Wright and Pat as 9th and 10th dudes being used in spots as needed. Trade Bobby for a backup 5 that is simply not a chair defensively.

Shift Prince to Bobby's role, shift Bobby to anywhere, shift Rollins to Wright's role, shift Green into Pat's role, play Dre, profit

Lots of good comments here.

AJJ played the best defense I've seen him play. He did not let his guy get by him and try to contest from behind. He kept the guy in front of him. Let's see what he can do against really good guards who can penetrate.

The trade off is with KM out, the starting lineup has one shooter on the court. But Trent was bad so this is the right move. Bucks still need more shooting, but I have no problem with emphasizing defense.

I have said through just watching summer league and preseason that I thought Rollins looked like a NBA player, and he still does. Smooth ball handler, good athlete, competes on defense, shot looks solid. I think he no question gives you more than Pat or Wright at this point.

I think two moves solidify the rotation - Midds coming back and Portis getting moved for a better fit bench piece. I keep AJax starting, and when Midds comes back, the bench is:

Prince
Trent
Bobby Trade
Green
Rollins

Could've easily been called for a foul twice here. Love his energy and effort but he still is a little too eager to "close the space" when he doesn't really have to. He has enough length to bother shots without having his feet right under the offensive player's chest.

I actually really like all three of our 2-ways. I'm not giving up on Wright, but I'd definitely give Rollins minutes at PG over Pat. I'm also an Umude fan. He's got legit 3&D potential in a way that left Pat a long time ago. Finally, I really like Robbins, despite that awful new haircut. I like having an end-of-the-bench big that can muck it up every now and then.

I hope we are not going to refer to this game the same way we refer to the DJ Wilson game in the future.

That's because I'm spot on... AJJ IS becoming our Pat Bev earlier than I thought. Now let's see if GTJ can be our T. Poole... not looking great

The league has allowed more physical defense this season. This really helps AJJ I think.

Fair call but AJJ has physical attributes DJ could only dream of, and there is more than a flash of good BBall IQ. DJ played decent defense for a few games and we thought he had something. AJJ's putback dunk last year, and the chase down block this year are plays from DJ's dreams of him becoming a superhero.
