How many guys do we even have on the roster right now? KPJ, Rollins, Brook, Bobby, Prince, GTJ, Sims all could potentially be gone. Not sure we need an open roster spot

maybe guys are all lined up i was thinking?

Could be. I’m still kind of thrown off with Horst going AWOL and Masai parting ways the next day. In theory pairing Horst with Masai is a great combination. But who knows if that is wishful thinking.

Masai has been dreadful for years now. Horst sucks, but I'd rather have Horst than Masai.

I won’t argue that but Masai seems to find draft prospects I like which Horst doesn’t do as well. Horst seems to be able to cobble together cheap vets and undervalued players. I mean, I’d still take Hinkie but he seems blackballed yet (guessing he is still out of the league)

Por que no los dos? Why not both? Hire Masai to do the drafting, Horst can handle min vet signings. Maybe the two of them get enough power to fire Doc.

Stashing Bogo would be a foolish thing to do.

They posted Horst's call with Bogo, that's fine.

Was the press thing around the time he would be negotiating the Mark Sears 2way?

Probably, maybe, but I’ll wait until I see him play in summer league before making up my mind. Not that my mind matters in this situation at all !

Going through the BucksBreakdown thread on twitter, cant link from my phone, he seems like a really smart offensive player.

Willing to set screens even if he gets crushed, finds open spots on the floor to get the ball, even telling teammates where to go/what to do during possessions.

Feel like he would be fine at that end of the court now, but defensively is going to be a struggle.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts after watching the full Nike hoop summit game.

He’s a very willing screener, and he even sought to get position through post ups or seals.

Most often guys with slight frames avoid those things because they get crushed, but those who embrace it despite their stature are players. Even if he only got up to 220 or so, a guy who gets in the way is still someone the opponent has to move. I’d take that every time or a guy who just avoids everything.

There’s a lot to like here. I think he has a competitive demeanor.

Agree. He's a very similar build, skill level, and background as Nikola Jovic. Jovic isn't quite good enough, but it's not because he's skinny, it's because he's soft. Bogo isn't soft, he wants it badly. He'll continue to improve, and continue to be better than Jovic. If he hits all the way he could be a poor man's Markkanen.

This guy is Dirk until he proves he isn't

Fun Fact: Dirk shot 19/23 from the line in his Hoop Summit appearance. Gadz played 12 minutes and had 1 point on 1/4 shooting from the line, 2 rebounds, 3 fouls, and 2 turnovers.

I know it's highlights and the point is to get you high but I'm pleasantly surprised by some of the playmaking, and I like how he uses his length on D. I'm sure the video has been shared but this is the one I'm referring to:

Yeah, the variety of impressive things in this video is really great. It seems like there are a lot of ways he could develop into a useful player, and if they happen to all hit, look out.

He does have one big, positive trait that good defenders usually have, and that's being really patient contesting vertically and using his size against smaller players. Will that translate when he'll have to go up against bigger, much more athletic guys? That'll determine a lot.

When there is a bigger guy posting, then he gives him a shoulder shove and easily creates more than enough space to take him out of the play or, if he is near enough, he fouls. But he has patience and can disturb smaller players without fouling, like guards and wings. This is why I would like to see him with a few minutes as a 3 first.
