Anyone have actual stats that show Giddey as a bad defender? The few advanced stats I saw list him a positive defender.

As an Aussie bucks fan... Get us Giddey!
Don't care that he's a bad fit

I can’t see Gidds working here. We’ve seen it with a ball dominant superstar at the Thunder and he’s just not effective without the usage. I hope he finds his place in the NBA but it’s hard to see him ever being part of an nba contender.

Yeah, it would be lunacy to pay $30 million a year for a player who's never had any positive on court impact for his team, but especially crazy for a Bucks team that just finally escaped Dame.
After all these years, the Bucks have finally figured out to surround Giannis with quick trigger shooters that can defend, only to throw that away to overpay Giddey? Please no.

I actually agree with you. At his current price tag he wouldn’t necessarily be a great fit with Giannis. But as I said last summer (when I got roasted on here with the Middleton trade idea) he’s only 22 (21 last year). And he improves every season.
For a team like the Bulls, they arguably can use him as one of their top three cornerstone guys. Now who the other two would be, I have no clue.

We could have just done the sensible thing and drafted Proctor, which would have pacified the Aussie Buck fan contingent. Now they got to urge us to invest our last core player salary slot & draft picks on a bad fit.

The issue with Giddey is he just doesn't actually improve. All of his per possession stats are roughly the same. His 3 ball is the one thing that's gotten more accurate, but it's still slow trigger and unguarded, which will never work in the playoffs. He still can't play off ball, and he still doesn't make his team better. The fact that the Bulls, who have no depth and no other playmakers, aren't dramatically better, or even better, with Giddey on the floor is extremely concerning.
Giddey is a really fun player, but he's still too flawed to be a winning player.
I really hope the Bulls pay him well, as that will keep them stuck in purgatory longterm.

Don’t get Baddy all hot and bothered with this talk about an RHJ comeback.
