Kobe creates great looks for his teammates this year

I don't think Kobe has really changed his play that much, he just has a better supporting cast now.

Bynum has developed into a fine and productive young center on both offense and defense.

Fisher was a good add to the team

Farmar has developed into a quality bench player on both ends of the court.

Ariza added another good athlete and defender

This Lakers team really defends hard and well, it's easily the biggest reason for their great start. Last year they were a mediocre defensive team, this year they are a top 5 defensive team allowing only 43% shooting. I don't think it's a fluke either, the Lakers have plenty of good athletes that play defense along with a top notch head coach.

And if that happened I could see every single team we play put the press on as long as those two are in the game and force a ton of turnovers.

I think Mo is proving more and more that he is not just a 6th man... He is a starting PG or SG or pretty much whatever team he plays for.

Mo has been unbelievable this season, it amazes me to see how many people still underrate him around here. He has outperformed his contract big time.

I really don't see what the problem with Redd off the bench is. Does "starting" really matter? It's just a name. Redd will get his minutes.

Separating defensive liabilities sounds like a great idea. Scoring in the first line will come from Mogut and CV, while scoring in the second line will come from Redd and Yi.
