Yeah that's basically the feeling I'm getting. One team is kicking ass and their 20 year old C and "disgruntled" superstar are owning right now. Is there really anything there to criticize?

Woelfel is saying that he's heard that Van Gundy was ripping the Bucks because he thought Kohl was behind the ousting of Stand Van Gundy at Wisconsin and that there's no love lost between JVG and Kohl.

Sparky gets one right - if JVG and Kohl have a history there goes any chance of JVG getting hired by the Bucks.

other ESPN bias from a bucks fan perspective:
on the little bar above the score to show states the bucks logo was purple

at half bymun they should his pts and rebs then added a subscript to show 2 blocks.....they show the same thing for bogut but didnt but the extra subscript for his 2 blocks

sorry if this was pointed out in the game thread

Until the trade in the next few days, I would use Redd exactly like the Olympic team uses Redd--strictly as a shooter/scorer--why pretend that he is anything else.
Start Redd at SF and Mo at the 2--that is the only way they can both be on the floor at the same time. Keep
Redd out of the backcourt period. The Bucks were rather competitive tonight against an elite team on their home court. Ruffin was very effective (+4), Yi continues to improve. CV can alternate with Redd at SF--when they are on the court at the same time there are too many must have the ball people. Actually, CV, Simmons, Mason and Redd are the same player give or take some talent. Hence the team is disfunctional due to duplication. Still the game was entertaining. Ivey and Bell at the point is the only way to fly right now although Bell still doesn't fit the program. Simmons/Bell goodbye. Kohl is right about CV--there is talent there. CV is a cog on a very good team---Milwaukee ?? I like Bogut.

This game was the sort of game you want Redd to take over down the stretch, down 10-15 with 5 or so minutes to go the only way I saw us coming back was if Redd (or to a lesser extent someone else) got hot. When the scores are close at the end you don't want someone jacking up every shot they can, but today I thought it was necessary to have any chance of winning.

I am interested to see the results of that research, but even more interested to see the methods used in finding these 2 or 3 coaches.

It was surprising both guys didn't know that probably the best player in the league asked to be traded, and that we didn't have LH old enough back then to force him to stay like "It's got a lake. It's got a mosque." "huhhuh, David Meyers!" no ****.

Interesting to see Yi work one on one more, and so early in the game. He doesn't really pass either while we're counting.

This game was pretty close for how little we moved the ball. Never really felt like we were in it though if we had one guy at a time hitting jumpers to close the gap.

I was at a party and while the game was on I wasn't able to follow it closely. So I'd appreciate any objective comments on how Redd looked. Whenever I saw him he looked great and his stat line was strong for his first game back. But I'd be interested in hearing from people who watched the game more closely than I did any comments - again I emphasize objective - about how he looked.

Thanks in advance.

Europa...I think Epi's comment below pretty much sums up how Redd played last night, IMO.

Redd shot well, but his passes showed his being out for several games--too slow and too telegraphed (not to mention pretty impossible angles).

Thanks. I noticed some bad passes as well and a sluggishness was to be expected. But I'm curious to know how he looked in terms of his involvement in the offense. Did he work himself into the flow or was it a lot of solo stuff? He shot very well and 4 assists in 25 minutes would seem to indicate he wasn't playing selfishly so I'm wondering if the box score was an accurate reflection of how he played or not?

IMO...he was not selfish at all. He did not force many shots and when he got the ball and took a shot it seemed in the flow of the offense. I thought maybe he would try to out-due Kobe but that was not the case. Like you said though he was sluggish and it seems he just needs a few games to get back into the flow of things.

I really think that when he is ready to get back into the starting lineup the Bucks should consider Mo/Ivey/Redd/Yi and Bogut because SF is non-existiant on this team and Ivey has played well and would be a good distributor to everyone on the floor.

Thanks. That was my take on it from when I was watching. I thought he looked real good but again I wasn't able to watch the whole game or follow it very closely.

Europa...I think Redd looked really rusty....but then again the whole offense was dis-jointed. But that's what always happens to this team when they play a team with top tier defense.

The Lakers were flying all over the place blocking shots, disrupting things, etc.....We don't have the athletes at any position to deal with that.

When he enter game his teamates kind of ignored him in first 5 or 6 possesions. The guy with ball would look at him, stop for the second and then pass to somebody else. When he did get ball he was looking confused. I got impresion that he doesn't belong. At the end of game, when all was done, he made his stats look better. As usually

And the Redd hate continues. Some of you are getting so bad it's hard to come on this board anymore.

Redd played within the flow of the game. You can say he didn't but the evidence doesn't exactly support that.
