That quote is complete crap. Bogut has wanted the ball as much as anyone in the 4th since we started going to him in games more, the problem is prying it from our guards dead lifeless fingers, not that bogut doesn't want it. His FT shooting does need to improve (over 65% in January so far), but to say he runs away from the ball scared in the 4th is just rubbish.

As far as the rest of the thread goes, I believe a common misconception among Bucks fans is that Yi plays solid defense. Imo his defense can be catagorized as 'average' at best. He misses more rotations than anyone else on the floor, including cv, and his man receives more wide open dunks/layups per game than anyone elses. Whilst his actual man defense on the perimeter is ok he is embarrased virtually every time a big bodied 4 backs him down, and far too often gets lost out there.
Don't get me wrong I like Yi and think he's got a big future, but I think too many of us are being blinded by that potential. His past month, save his breakout game, has been horrible to the point where he is hurting this team, and I too would suggest that right now he is very close to the worst performing starting 4 in the league.
Many of his points seem to come in junk time which pads his stats, he is blocked WAY too often when going up for dunks and despite having a beautiful stroke on his jumper his jumpshooting has gone off the boil as well.
Now CV has been no angel, and we could start a whole thread about his crap defense, but anyone who thinks Yi is a more effective nba player than CV right now is kidding themselves imo.
I also have absolutely no doubt that CV being benched at the beginning of the year jolted his confidence badly and effected his play. He should have been starting from day 1, and the fact that he's not now is an indictment on LK. LK has imo a personal problem with CV and he's letting it cloud his judgement and hurt this team, the fact that Yi is playing the way he is and starting ahead of CV has now gotten to the point of being laughable. Yi should still get some minutes, but they need to be reduced.

Like I said I have no problem with Yi, I'm glad we picked him, I love his potential and think he will be an excellent player, but he's a rookie who's hit the rookie wall hard. Bench him already.

This is one of the major problems with the team and also why the JS 'merit' article yesterday was such bunk. Certain players are exempt from earning their spots. It's hard to have team cohesiveness, when their is rampant favoritism/payroll politics.

We all saw the player introduction video at the beginning of the year. You know, the one which ended with 'stars' Mo Williams and Michael Redd. That's the way it has been set up. That's why neither of them will come off the bench, even though it is what's best for the team. The evidence has been their since the beginning of the season, that those two should play limited minutes together, yet nothing changes. Merit that.

As far as Villanueva goes, starting him won't change a whole lot. Believe it that he is worse than Yi on defense. It could raise his trade value, but I don't think it is that bad to begin with. He could start on a few teams, and be a 6th man on a lot more. Does he have a future on this team? I'd say no, since Krystkowiak has been unwilling to give the Bogut/Villy/Yi frontline minutes to shine. The team should be looking to use his value to move Gadzuric's contract. But I agree with you, Villanueva has been Krystkowiak's whipping boy, and it is wrong.

Oh silly paul, you've been here for a little over a month and haven't taught you enough it seems.

You see MBBOT is our village idiot, we believe he is Freeway, he absolutely has to be. It's best if you don't engage in serious conversation with him because it's a waste of your time as he doesn't respond to any posts you make addressing him.

Thanks for the headsup twirl, I was aware of that but just couldn't let that quote slide, I should already know better!
