OT: Badgers @ Nittany Lions

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Wed Jan 16, 2008 4:14 am

Absolute BEATDOWN tonight, and the best I've seen the Badgers play offensively as a unit in quite some time. Flowers 23/6/5/2 in the 80-55 win.

People will laugh at me for this, but I think this years Badger team is more of a tournament threat than last year. Reasons: they play better halfcourt D and they don't rely on two guys to score all the points. I also believe Hughes as a PG is FAR SUPERIOR to Taylor, who was a scorer.

14-2 baby. Keep it rolling.

It also helped that Claxton went out early for them. :)

Didn't matter though, we were still pounding them when he was in.

Yeah, he's a damn good player. I think the Badgers were up 14 when he went out though.

I think this team is more confident and more hungry to win....even though last year had the better overall talent it didn't seem as if they wanted it bad enough...I will not be shock if this team makes it to the elite 8.

I won't laugh at you for saying that. My feeling on this team was that they'd be in a group behind Indiana and Michigan St. in the Big 10 this year, but then be dangerous in the tourney. If I remember correctly, that seems to happen with this team often the past several years, they'll end up with a ranking in the 5 to 9 area, and then be a tough tourney out.

Great game by the Badgers.

Good to see fellow Wisconsin FVA representative Tim Jarmusz get 19 seconds of PT at the end for the Badgers.

Two rebounds in 19 seconds....gotta be leading the team in rebounders per 40 minutes.
