We had to beg Yi, an unproven player from China to even visit Milwaukee let alone sign here. We will never ever get a big name free agent to come here if we trade Redd, especially if we don't get back another All-Star. Look at how much we had to pay Mo' and Gadz just to resign with us. Look at how much we had to pay a journeymen who put up decent numbers 1 year on a bad clippers team (Bobby Simmons). Trading Redd or Mo' isn't the answer, getting a good GM/Coach and putting players around them that don't suck is.

I agree. I don't want to trade Redd for a bunch of crap like Haslem, etc. We should package Redd with others to get Marion, Deng, Pietrus, Kidd, or someone else talented that can give us help on both sides of the ball. Otherwise trading Redd is pointless regardless of whether or not he is worth his max contract.

i would put that down to the players knowing that when the ball finds redd, it has made its last pass. in the past the offense has really stagnated when he was on the floor, there is significantly less movement. though it could be a chicken/egg thing.

Again, how is this Redd's fault that there's less movement from the other 4 players when the ball is in his hands. If all they do is stand around and look for Redd to shoot it, you can't blame him for shooting it. Like I said when was the last time you saw someone consistently make cuts to the basket or run off back screens when Redd had the ball??

Did you actually read what bayrbandit wrote? He basically said everyone gives up when redd gets the ball because they know he's gonna shoot it (the ball has made it's last pass). Teammates dont WANT him to always shoot it, but they know he is going to, particularly if it's tight in the 4th.

I constantly see people making cuts and trying to get the ball from Redd often to no avail, but we obviously watch the game through different eyes.

Ofcourse he's gonna shoot if the game is tight in the 4th, he is the teams best player and shooter, and Larry K does call ISO plays for him. Does Redd take Ill-advised shots sometimes?? Ofcouse he does, show me one starting SG in the league who doesn't.

Who do you see making cut's besides Desmond Mason?? Bobby and both Charlie's are usually camped around the 3point line.

Trading Redd for Danny Granger is not a good trade. Trading Redd for anybody on the Pacers not named Jermaine O'neal isn't a good trade.

Yeah like I said I'm not necessarily in favour of trading Redd, certainly not for crap (although I don't think he and Mo can co-exist on this team) and I don't want this to turn into a Redd bashing session, as it's certainly not my intention to bash him. But to say he's not at least at times selfish is wrong imo, I'm happy to agree to disagree.

i think the bucks are stuck between a rock and a hard spot right now they only have 2 options and none of which can easily be done.

option 1-trade redd and aquire draft picks and expirings or decent role players. exp. dont help us much because the turnover ratio for fa's is poor in mil., but youd rather have exp. than bad players tied into long deals. decent role players would be nice, but they have to fit like jake voshkul not mason.

big problem here is teams that would want redd would be in contention seeing as how he is more of a super role player. and the draft pick wouldn't be high. and i wouldn't want gerald green's as the main part of the trade, chances are he will never be better than mike.

option 2-keep redd and get a player to come in that demands respect demands defense basically says mike follow my lead. in order to get a player of that caliber you are talking our draft pick for sure and mo and cv or bogut and cv, obviously not yi for financial reasons. and not just a player that is a little better, ie marion because they would be second fiddles together. a tue leader.

problem-very few players are like that meaning garnett duncan. and if it takes a combo of cv/mo/pick or bogut/cv/pick you are left with either a void at the wing and C or the wing and PG.C and PG obviously hardest to fill.

clearly by deadline changes will be made either to go young and harris will be out or to go big time and harris will have a shot. my feeling is it is easier for a franchise to cut its losses and fall back on having a shot in the draft. but we'll see.

if you couldn't tell my hope is for a superstar either now or through the draft. w/e it takes milwaukee needs some luck like that to get out of mediocracy cycle.

I think we need red font for posts that are both sarcastic and confusing.
