Question for people who want to trade Redd for a SF...

Post#1 » by Max Green » Fri Jan 18, 2008 6:18 am

Why?? All that will do is put us in the same position we are in now, except that instead of us being without a good SF, we will now be without a good SG.

We lucked out on trading Ray because we had Michael in the wings ready to take his spot.

Mo could shift to SG, you'd need another PG unless Ivey can re-create the first half against the Hawks in every game.

Ah, all the newbies and Redd Lovers...

That is fine and good. But we botched the real trade we needed to make in bringing Zach Randolph here to help Bogut and put Yi where he can ease into the league.

On the bench.

A Big Three of Bogut/Redd/Randolph surrounded by Mo/Yi/Bell/Balkman and or Mason/Noel/Ivey/Voshkul, would have been outstanding!

The idiot that rejected the CVill/Simmons/Gadzuric deal propsed by some in here from sources around the league, that guy in the Bucks' brass should fire themsleves.

Any good team needs 3 young proven players like that, and surround them with role playing complementary players and then go out to play to win!

Winning is risky business. Building a winning team there is no perfect or magic formula. Yes you have your blueprints and foundation pieces but at one time or another you have to take risks.

The Bucks for the most part have been lucky. Dumb luck...really. I like Zach Randolph's game on this team where he would have the freedom to do and be what we do not have right now.

Don't make Bogut what he is not, and demand Redd to be who he is not.
Settle for who they are and use them all effectively.

Agreed 100%. I don't want to hear that bs about Randolph would've hindered Yi's growth, Yi is stinking it up on the court right now and does not deserve to start. Besides, do some of you people really think Yi is gonna resign with the Bucks once his rookie contract is up?? He's heading West to a big market team.

We should trade Mo and Bobby for Artest and Kenny Thomas. Call up Ramon and let Charlie, Ivey and Ramon split PG duties.

Interesting option, they'd have to throw in a 1st.

I don't hate Yi, I just don't believe he should be starting at this point. He's done nothing to earn or keep his starting Job. He would be much better served coming off the bench at this point, going up against second string players whilestill learning how to play the NBA style game.

I agree with that. Unfortunately the other options at PF aren't all that strong.

Nobody's smart enough to do that. But I would only split Ramon's minutes with one other guy. Ramon can handle 35+.
