It works equally well with Redd.

People (a certain poster) wanted a "Redd quality" player to put next to Redd. Randolph is a Redd quality player. If you hate Randolph's game, you hate Redd's game.

You're being too hard on Europa.
He seems to make alot better points than you and he's totally right for not wanting randolph.

Sure, he likes redd, but he's also down with trading him if it increases the talent.

I for one, would love to deal either mo or redd, don't really care who. The bucks just need to get the right kind of player back and hopefully shed simmons along with one of them in the process.

I'm with Europa on this one, although I can understand the reasoning of those advocating for the trade. As of January first, we already have Zach Randolph. Only he's seven feet tall, plays much better defense, is much more intelligent and unselfish and will never be called in to court for assaulting a stripper. Randolph is a guy other players hate playing with.

Exactly, we have Bogut, he's a low post scorer that does all the "right" things to win ball games. Larry should be bringing in as many players as he can to help bogut, not totally ruin his development along with our other young talented player in Yi.

I just can't believe harris would actually do this trade.

We don't know what other options Harris has or is allowed.

What if Kohl has told Larry that he has to make the playoffs this year or his job is done? And on top of that Larry is not allowed to trade either Redd or Mo?

We also have no idea what our players might be worth. While I like to think we could trade Redd/CV to Chicago for Noc and Gordon it possible that was offered and the Bulls laughed at us.

Or that we offered CV/Bell for Kleiza and got rejected.

I'm not saying any of that happened.....but we just don't know all the other options out there. I don't like this Randolph trade either, but it might be the only trade out there and Kohl may have ordered Larry to come up with some type of move. Bad CEO's like Kohl generally ask their employees to make something out of nothing and do it under a bunch of restrictions to boot.

But in fairness to Kohl, we don't know his side either. It's plausible Larry's got all sorts of options here and wants the Randolph one. In which case Herb's right.

I would not wish Randolph on the Bucks.

The path to improvement does not go through the Knicks right now.

As a Knicks fan, if you do this deal you have to send flowers to the NYK organization because I would be absolutely baffled to see this deal official. Randolph is a beast just he is paired next to an incompetent player in Curry. He lost his grandmother this year and missed some games due to it but since his arrival hes been a saint off the court and hasnt gotten in trouble.

And youd get Nate or Balkman in the deal too?? All for Old Man Simmons, CV and Gadz? Wow.........Fire Isiah.

But Randolph is a CANCER! Did you see those Powerhouse Portland teams from 2004-2006 that he brought down?

After this season, he will be owed $48 mln over 3 seasons. If he sucks here, he will have failed on three teams in a row and there will not be a team in the league willing to take him on. Worst case scenario is being stuck with a $16 mln/year team killer for three more years.

1. Until you see him succeed or fail with this team you can't be sure one way or another can you?

2. We'll be paying Simmons and Gadzuric nearly $56 million in that same time frame. What exactly is the difference? We keep our crap that nobody wants or we get Randolph who nobody wants?

If you combine Simmons and Gadz does that actually equal Randolph?

Lets see:

Somewhat jumpshooting abilty of Simmons. Check.
Fumblitis of Gadz. Check
Combined rebounding abilities. Check.
Bad defense of Simmons. Check.

Weird.

But what makes him a bad fit with the Knicks?

The fact that both him and Curry are terrible defenders. He would be better fit with C who defend like Bogut for example.

I almost have no desire at all to watch a team with Redd on it.

Frankly, I want neither on this team.

Trade Mo not TJ. Check. We'd have Boozer and TJ rather than Villanueva and Mo.

Use the #6 pick on some one who could contribute this year. Check. We'd have Marion not Yi.

Bring in a Redd quality player while getting rid of Simmons, Villanueva, Gadz. Check. We'd have Randolph.

europa, it's time for you to focus your anger a bit higher up.
