CV/Simmons/Gadz package
We've talked about the pro/con merits of the Knicks trade a lot, but what does the package we offered mean?
Sadly, the fact that we got so close to making that deal probably means we have not been looking seriously at Redd trades, as one or two of those guys surly would be a part of one. Is the Mcgrady speculation over now?
With that in mind, what else could we get for this package besides the knicks deal? Will we end up trading this same group of players?

Here's a good aricle on Salmons---I had no idea he was having such a good year: http://kings.realgm.com/articles/175/20 ... the_catch/
He has every attribute that we could hope for in a SF, however, I'm worried he's a little undersized there (but i'm by no means sure on that). If i'm wrong then I bet we trade a lot for him, as we certrainly could use a smart SF who can D up, score efficiently, pass very well, and generally do the little things.
Let me do my traderfenix thing and see what's up. Considering we are one of the few teams that has a role for Kenny Thomas I can see something working out.

I think the kings would rather keep salmons and trade Artest. I remember some people on this board were messing around with artest/redd trades, but if its true that his stock has dropped, what about a CV/Simmons or Gadz combo for Artest? Call him a psycho, a cancer or whatever you want, but i think that is low risk (considering what we give up).
Mo, Ivey
Redd, Bell
Artest, Mason
Yi, Ruffin
Bogut Voskhul.
=Much better defense. More realistically, we might have to take back one of their bad players like Kenny Thomas. I dont have time to check the salaries right now, but if he has 1 year longer than bobby, it might be a decent swap for them to do something involving those 2, cv and artest.
Kings:
Bibby
Martin,Udrih
Salmons
CV
Miller

I don't see Artest as a long term solution though. He's just too unstable to be trusted. Salmons would be a long term solution that wouldn't break the bank.
I agree though, the Kings would rather keep Salmons and trade Artest. If they can't trade him, either Salmons or perhaps Garcia could be had for the right price.

No serious team (so noone except NY) is going to take both Gadz and Bobby without dumping an even worse contract...That why I believe that Randolph is maybe the best we can get for these two combined with CV. Two are the possibilities: We keep them until their contracts end, or we trade them for a huge contract, like Randolph's one is.

We could try to give 'em CV + Bobby or CV + Dan and you never know, they might fall for it... maybe? Okay, I know they won't

I agree that he is the best player on the Bulls because of his complete game, I rate him higher than Deng... he plays like a guy that wants his team to win.
