Pacers/Bucks Postgame

Post#1 » by REDDzone » Fri Jan 25, 2008 3:41 am

Well noone made it so I figured I would.

Redd was on fire. Bogut had a couple of nice assisted dunks.

The defense by both teams was so bad that if this game were relative to a pickup game I would be involved in, I would have easily quit.

Discuss.

If we're going to chuck, they may as well do by it driving and kicking out for face up 3 pointers.

This was the first game in a long time that I wore my Redd T-Shirt to the game...im not taking credit for Redd's game tonight but im just saying that it was 100% because of me wearing the shirt.

Redd played tonight like, he did earlier in the season, there weren't nearly as many iso's and he shot the ball well within the offense, gave off some nice passes, but until i see him pass out of double teams more effectively, i will remain on the fence with him.

In regards to Yi, i'd like to see him get rid of his safety dunk. There have been so many times (and a few tonight) where Yi instinctively went for the two handed dunk where it would've been easier to just bank in the layup. Yi needs to get used to the fact that in the NBA, players will meet him at the rim, he can't deal with his dunk being altered, and has shown no ability to adjust his dunks or layups whilst in the air.

It's a big area of need for him.

A win at home over the J. O'neal-less Pacers, better reserve your playoff tickets now.

I got the post game show on with Sparky and he was talking about how after halftime at the BC they should invite fans in the upper bowl to come sit in the lower bowl if the place is almost empty.

I can't help but laugh at that thought.

One time I moved down a few rows in the upper bowl, keep in mind I never even left the upper bowl and was told by the usher to show my ticket and then told to go back to my actual seat. And I was told with an attitude like ''you better go back to your seat now or you will be kicked out''.

Keep in mind I did this in the 2nd half of a game when there was probably not even 2,000 people in the upper bowl.

Of all the NBA arenas i've been to the BC is by far the most un-fan friendly.

I just stay in my seats no matter what than there is never a problem. I hate watching the game and having to worry that im in somebody else's seat or just not in my own seat but maybe thats just me.

A win is a win. Both teams didn't play great. But we had the pick and roll working great. Bogut ended his double double streak but 17 and 7 is still a good game. Redd was the potg though I thought.

I still like the fact that we are still starting Yi. He is learning...as soon as he gets better at drawing some fouls it will be very hard to stop him.

Im sorry but Charlie V. is just awful...on defense and most of the time on offense too. Any sort of deal for him that brings back a half-way decent player should be done. I have been watching him very closely these last few games and he is not helping matters at all when he is on the floor.

Its tempting when the place is almost empty when you dont have great seats,I wouldnt try it till after halftime anyway.

They got more strict with that type thing because I remember in the 90's we'd buy $6.00 bonus night seats and sit somewhere in the first 10 ten rows and the ushers wouldnt care.

That one security guy who always sits behind the visitors bench, you guys probably know who im talking about hes been there forever, black dude with the glasses & moustace.I forgot his name but back in the 90's I would actually go down by him around halftime and ask which seats where still open and he'd point em out and tell me to ''go ahead and sit there''.

No of course not a win is a win.

Its just depressing when we only can beat teams that are as bad or worse than us.

That's what happens when you have a roster with no great player, mediocre at best overall talent, and a rookie coach.

At least Bucks fans should be used to this and it likely won't change anytime soon. To get better in the future, the Bucks just might have to make some trades that make us worse for the short term.

The NBA is a tough league on teams caught in that no mans land of not a good team, but not a terrible team. Having no elite player, but just enough talent to win 33-38ish games That likely means no top 3 draft pick to get a stud in the draft. Not enough talent on hand to trade for one. No large amount of cap room to pray one signs with us and playing in a market most top players ant to avoid.

Mix in a meddling owner and a GM with little power, that's our Milwaukee Bucks. Hard for me to feel optimistic.
