Reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated

(my favorite quote attributed to Samuel Clemens, albeit something he never technically said).
I know a few people have mentioned they've talked to me, but I figured I'd chime in myself.
Before I start responding to individual things here, let me first mention that, much to my dismay, I've had a hard time squeezing in any chance to post anything on the board really since all the way back on Friday January 11th!
I've posted in game threads a few times from my phone while in the BC to try and find out why a specific player wasn't playing, but that's it.
I've been doing quite a bit of catching up with old friends. Plus recovering from a long lingering illness (cold/flu/laryngitis type thing) that was quite annoying and that I only really feel completely over as of Thursday. That caused me to up the 4-5 hours that I normally sleep each night up to 7-8 which really threw me for a loop because all of a sudden every day was basically two hours shorter than I am used to.
Plus I went to the last four home games (Hawks, Warriors, Suns, Pacers) and went out drinking each of those nights (and the night out after that Warriors game was a particular doozy, I think I got home at like 5:30am). In total I've been out drinking on 8 separate occasions going back to Friday the 11th. That may not seem like much to some of the younger folks here, but that's really a high number for me in that type of time span. And throw in 3 days of all day NFL playoffs in that time span too.
And on Wednesday I just caught up on some movies that I wanted to see. I figured I wouldn't get a chance other than Wednesday to get to the movie theater, so I made it a triple feature. "Atonement", followed by "There Will Be Blood", followed by "Cloverfield"
I recommend all three. They were all good, especially "There Will Be Blood" which I think will win Best Picture this year. "Atonement" was definitely worthy of its Best Picture nomination and "Cloverfield" was a unique experience that they managed to pull off rather well (it got a bit contrived at times, but that's ok). Part of the appeal were some of the unique things that movie had going for it, so I imagine there will be a bunch of copycats (of the style especially) that will be epic fails.
So...
I've tried to keep up somewhat with reading the boards during this time frame and some of our fellow users who I talk to off the boards have helped fill me in sometimes. And I've also managed to do a smidgen of communicating with NBA people (really not that much, but I checked in with a few people on a few things to make sure I wasn't too far out of the loop).
There you have it. Sorry for worrying anyone.

I even intended to go out again tonight but then decided just to stay in and catch up on things, including this board. Probably a good idea and I was out Thursday night anyway, so can I really be dismayed about not going out either Friday or Saturday? Nah.
