Most of these guys you are talking about are good guys but they simply don't have a leader in there who is bringing in outside best practices and also allowing autonomy.
I find this ticket office incredibly helpful and filled with many good people, especially Steinmiller and Dave Trattner.
The problem isn't that Kohl keeps these guys on board....the problem is that he gives them no power....and for most of these guys, they need a product to sell. Since Kohl (and Ron Walter) are the GM's, they have no product to sell.
After 20-years it gets hard for a guy like Steinmiller to keep pushing the same stuff with no success on the court. None. We don't win games.....we don't have a top-tier superstar.....we are 0-2 in what counts in the NBA.
We could have 50 million bobblehead nights, but people aren't coming unless the team wins......it all falls back on Kohl/Walter as GM.
