I was hoping for Pietrus, personally.

Villanueva doesn't have a TON of value, but he has considerably more than he is being given credit for. Far more than Pietrus, given Pietrus' circumstances especially.

People need to keep in mind that Villanueva is still on his rookie scale contract which is quite cheap in his case. Not only for the rest of this season, but for next season as well. And after that time, he can be made a restricted free agent, giving him limited negotiating flexibility. One of his options at that point would be to take his QO for 09-10 which would also be a pretty cheap salary of $4.623835 mil

So Villanueva has lots of value given his contractual circumstances, his age, and how he is still viewed when it comes to "potential"
There is some belief that he needs a change of scenery and that part of his problem here in Milwaukee relates to him missing time with last season's injuries, and then entering training camp disenchanted by the reality that the team he thought he was going to be the starting PF of the future on just picked a very highly touted PF prospect that was almost certainly going to wind up as a starter here, with that player playing the same primary position Villanueva does.

Hell yea Swift will get this team on the winning track.

WTF.

What would be the point of trading for Swift? The guy is garbage and I don't know what CV's exact value is around the league but im gonna go out a limb and assume its higher than Stromile Swift's value.

Just when you think the Bucks front office couldnt be any more incompetent....

They totally redeem themselves!!!

I kinda stole that line from dumb & dumber speaking of which ''dumb & dumber''...good name for LH & Kohl.

Based on what I was reading on the Grizz board.. fans seemed under the impression that Stro attempted to talk with his coach and wasn't overly animated or inappropriate. Don't know if something else happened behind closed doors.. but the impression I got was the suspension came after he had a bad sequence of events in a game, was called for a foul and then benched. Said something about how he tried to explain, and then was suspended for a game.

What did you hear other than that or what did you see in that game (assuming you saw it)? Just curious.

They replayed the highlight over and over here. Stro was pissed off about the coach pulling him out. The coach was sitting down, and Stro stood over him and let him have it. One of the assistant coaches had to p get up and physically move Stro out of Ivaroni's face.

I could maybe see a CV/Gadz for Swift/Warrick swap...

Surely Swift is having problems with Iavaroni and he is not playing a lot. I think he is on the trading block, where also CV is. It could be a possibility, even if I would prefer the trade Chad Ford talked about (CV & Gadz for Kwame's expiring contract and Crittenton).

Swift for Gadz is more equitable. Swift for CV would have to net us a HOU 1st rounder.

Stromile Swift will be traded for Jason Collins over the coming weekend

I think it's been mentioned in this thread, but if I were Harris I'd offer CV/Gadz for Hakim Warrick and Stromile Swift, but they might shy away from Gadz since he has 3 additional years and Collins only has two.

Plus I hear they are reluctant to give up Warrick, but to get CV back might change that.

This deal hasn't went through yet. If I was Harris, I would step in and offer New Jersey:

Williams/Villanueva/Gadzuric/Storey

For

S. Williams/Wright/Collins/Magloire

...throw in a 2009 2nd round pick if you have to, and we'll cut Maglorie so that the Nets can reclaim him....

Kidd/Mo Williams
Carter/Mo Williams
Jefferson/Nachbar
Villanueva/Boone
Kristic/Gadzuric

...is a pretty good lineup in the east. I like...

Bell/Ivey
Redd/Mason
Simmons/Wright
Yi/Williams
Bogut/Williams

...for us. This also puts Sessions in position to receive good minutes this year.
