And so was Yao's first basket before he went to the bench with 2 quick fouls in the 1st quarter.

Yi is probably tired and stressed, and maybe he also is not ready for the NBA, this is common for a lot of international draft picks, but he will improve.
In the next couple of seasons he will easily be at least a 15pts 8rbs player he could have more output but he plays on a team that won't allow it

Yes, teams, coaches, and other players just hate it when a team mate does well. Nonsense.

And, Old Skool, Bogut had a more productive rookie year at PF than Yi is having. Not even close.

The defense on Tmac was terrible in the 4th quarter. They dared him to shoot and he roasted our ass. He rarely had to take it to the basket because they stayed atleast 3 ft off of him and kept killing us with his jumper.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want T-Mac on our team. Or would I?

Our team has been awful at hitting open shots all season. It is amazing to me that at this level of play, players are still not capable of hitting uncovered jumpers.

The answer is YES without a doubt. The question Do we want to win or not, has beeen asked by numerous team mates. With this rotation and the way playing time is being dealt, the players dont know the answer. I mean read CV's blog if you dont believe me.Some of the things, like putting Yi back in and not Cv, really makes you say HMMMM. Bobby has been sh&t on by this coach all year. Last night was just another example. Did you like Bobby's expression after hitting those threes. Even the Rockets after the game told us our rotation is whack. They said they won the game because CV and Bobby stayed on the bench. T-Mac loved the fact Bobby didn't guard him. And once TMac did go off, how did you guys like LK's adjustment. Oh, nevermind, he never made one because he is a f#ckin idiot. Slam me if you want but its the truth.

I won't be slamming you, I agree totally. Thanks for the response Buckskins. I did see a bemused look on Bobby's face a couple of times late in the game and assumed that's what it was about, and there's absolutely no doubt CV had given us a lift while Yi was sucking it up. I get the impression maybe LK thinks it won't be a problem soon because CV will be gone, but I also get the impression that he may have already lost the players by then.

This has been a common misconception around here Epi, people look at Yi's numbers and Bogut's (along with many current stars in this league) from his rookie year and say that Yi has been just as impressive as they were. What people fail to realise however is that the VAST majority of Yi's points have come off that sweet jumper of his, along with quite a few from the line, and many of these come in junk time. He has at this point almost shown negative value in the paint. No one is denying Yi has a sweet jumpshooting motion, but to say his PF game is similar to Bogut's in his rookie year is ridiculous, the guy gets blocked or stripped more often inside than anyone I can ever remember watching, certainly anyone getting his kind of quality minutes.

With Yi's jumpshot he should be capable of scoring more points than a guy like Bogut right through his career, but you take away those free points off open jumpers this year and exactly what do we have left? Probably around a 3-4 ppg average, if that.

What's also being ignored is the fact Bogut was an impact starter on a playoff team. Not enough value is placed on that attribute in my opinion regardless of who the player is. I place a high value on players who prove they can make an impact as a starter on playoff teams. To me, those are the players you want to keep and build around. Yi has had a decent rookie season for the most part but he hasn't come close to equaling what Bogut did as a rookie in my opinion.

Back to last night's game, the Bucks are flat-out miserable offensively without Redd right now. They are reverting back to the level of play which marked last season's performances without Redd. The only difference is Bogut has been playing at an All-Star level which continues to be great to see. But he's all the Bucks have right now. Nobody else is doing anything.

Mo has been brutal of late, shooting only 41% from the floor in his last 10 games. Yi shot only 37% from the floor in January and was brutal last night. Bell shot only 41% from the floor in January and was brutal last night. Simmons shot only 42% from the floor in January. Villanueva was somewhat respectable at 44% but shot way too many 3-pointers and shot poorly from that range (28%).

The Bucks are shooting 45% from the floor as a team this season. They only matched or topped that percentage three times in the eight games Redd missed in January. And in 50% of those games, they shot 39% or worse.
Nothing will not break me.
