Two deals I'd make

Post#1 » by Chuck Diesel » Wed Feb 6, 2008 9:34 am

1. Villanueva and a second round pick to Memphis for Kyle Lowry and Casey Jacobson.

2. Mo Williams, Awvee Storey and Jake Voshkul to Denver for Edwardo Najera, Linas Kleiza, Steven Hunter and Von Wafer. Cut either Jacobson or Wafer.

The Bucks get a couple of young, strong, smart and defensively gifted players in Lowry and Kleiza. Lowry has the all tools to lead a winning team and Kleiza is a beast of a forward. Both guys would be big pieces of a solid foundation for years to come, both like to play defense and neither have mental issues that keep them from giving 100% effort at all times.

Lowry, Ivey, Bell
Redd, Mason, Bell
Kleiza, Simmons, Mason
Yi, Najera
Bogut, Gadzuric, Hunter

Najera's deal is up after this season and in the meantime he is an instant upgrade defensively off the bench. Hunter is a scrub but his contract doesn't really hurt us. This summer we explore moving Mason and/or Simmons and improve our frontcourt
Bogut, Gadzuric, Hunter

The chain reaction of Western Conference deals may pressure Denver into thinking they need to make a mov. Mo Williams would make the Nuggets as explosive a team as there is in the league. Losing Kleiza and Najera hurts defensively, but Mo is good enough offensively where they might bite on the deal anyway. Voshkul could provide them with some big defensive depth.

For Memphis, either Lowry or Crittenton is going to be on the move before next season. I can't see them trading Conley so soon. They witnessed what Villanueva can do when he's motivated, and CV would give definitely them a boost in the frontcourt. If CV ever maximized his potential the Grizz could be pretty nasty in a couple years.

I like the second one, Najera is solid and Kleiza is a monster when he wants to be. I'm not sure about the Lowry deal, personally I'd prefer a veteran point guard of some sort, too much youth will take the team nowhere. That being said though I'll keep pushing for Josh Childress until he tears an ACL or something.

Utterly luducrisp deal. NO TALENT LEVEL AT ALL...

Horrible trade. That is a type a deal title teams make to put them over the top, not sorry ass teams like the Bucks!

YOU NEED TALENT! Not two more role players who don't draw fans or make you want to go see them.

This is a deal you should have made in 2001, not for a team that is just an atrocious outfit.

How the hell does Linas and Najera help us outside of being two foriegn players to alter the demographic of this team?

They don't! Neither address our needs! Neither blocks shots and neither can dominant and score running the floor and taking over games.

Both are teams a team like the Spurs or Pistons would have or the Cavs with a true Superstar around them. Both are right where they need to be.

Denver would be a fool to part with either of them...They give that team some substance and juice as George Karl used to say.

Here they would be lost in a losing stumblebutt culture.

Go  back to the drawing board my friend.
