I though Redd was regarded as one of the if not THE best shooters in the league. Hence the reason why he's playing for Team USA this summer. It's like having a 3-point contest without Reggie Miller, Steve Kerr, or Glen Rice in the mid 90's. What a joke.
Unless Redd thinks he is above the competition or it means nothing to him. But I don't see him turning down the chance to play and hang out with his buddy Kobe.

Good point. I also keep reading how he's one of the most well respected players in the game and one of the top shooting guards in the league and yet he hasn't been in the all-star game in a while now. Couple this with your post on how he's supposed to be one of the best shooters in the league and yet he can't get into the 3 point contest. I've never seen such a top / well respected player be left at home so often.
