But here are a few big time regulars that seem to be off in the lifeboats and gone over the horizon. Feel free to add your own.

After attending last nights game, I can say with confidence we've officially entered the Elroy Hirsch/Don Morton era of Milwaukee Bucks basketball......

Didn't we get the mildly interesting Steve Yoder era back then...can't evre remember...

I'm here (and chuckling at being listed as a "big time regular"). Started a new job with much less time to post during the day (or evening, for that matter)...and, frankly, not much to say.

I'm 100% over Harris and have been since the Blake for Boykins trade, which told me all I needed to know about his situation. The notion that both Mo and Redd are part of the teams "core" (according to LH, if I'm not mistaken) tells me that it doesn't matter who's coaching, the team will always blow due to lack of D on the wings and complete lack of game judgment/BB IQ on the part of Marbury, Jr....er, Stevie Small-Market-Franchise...um, sorry, Mo.

Always a fan...always read this board for info...just quiet now.

Actually I'm using the Badger football analogy that Homer uses on his show here every now and then. In the late 80's Badgers football coach Dave McClain died of a heart attack and was replaced by his loyal assistant Jim Hilles. People ripped Hilles a new one in his interim season and essentially stoned the poor guy to death running him out of town after one season.

The savior as presented to us by incompetent but nice guy Badger legend AD Elroy Hirsch was presented as new coach Don Morton, who was hired away from Tulsa. Morton proceeded to take the program to new lows even the Hilles bashers didn't think were possible.

I just remember a fall day in 1989 when I was at Madison and I took a buddy in town on a campus tour. We walked past Camp Randall as the Badgers played Indiana that day. Only 25,000 people were at Camp Randall. That day Anthony Thompson ran for the NCAA record of 400 years in a game or something like that. We had no interest in buying a ticket to go in.

To me that was the absolute low point a sports team can hit. Think about it....you are gettting crushed by Indy on a beautiful sunny fall day and only 25,000 showed up for the game at Camp Randall. Kids who go to Madison today couldn't comprehend things being that bad.

They never got better until Donna Shalala came on the scene, got authorization to hire Pat Richter as AD for big money and he in turn got the money to hire away Barry Alverez from Notre Dame. Now you had two pros running things.....and look at the results. Herb Kohl could learn something from his alma mater.

All painful memories for me as well...I was an alum still living in Madison up through the end of '89. That was a pathetic chapter in UW athletics.

I'm glad you remember that as well....we'd lose every game 45-3 it seemed.....and no one in their right mind would ever imagine only 25,000 people going to games.....but it happened.....
