Don't take me wrong. I'm not necessarily comparing Redd to Ginobili. Just saying put Redd on a solid team, and you would be surprised as to what you would get from him...the opposite being true with Ginobili. If Bruce Bowen were still the defender he once was, I think Pop might play around with the idea of a trade.
I think you could say the same thing about Bogut and also possibly Mo, if the team kept him in the position that best suits his talents.
This is an interesting thread, there is no denying Redd is a major talent as a scorer, especially if he can get on a roll, plus he has improved at taking the ball to the basket. Ginobili has such a far superior game in all other facets. I just thing Manu's basketball IQ is off the charts, he will defer if thats what it takes to win, he will pick up the scoring slack if a Parker is out. What really separates the 2 is defense, you noticed how Detroit changed there gameplan the second time they played the Bucks last week, they decided to attack Redd wheter he was covering Hamilton or Prince, not only did they know they could beat him, they also wanted to make him work on both sides of the court. I think for Redd to achieve a higher level of play (if thats possible), would have been to pick up a vet Pg (Billups) who could reign Redd in, and take on the responsibility of being the team leader......
