Only Seven of Our guys should make more than the min

That is how the new GM should build the Bucks. I think there is enough parody in the NBA for bench help that we'd be in much better shape doing this. Get two second round picks a year and let them play a bench role. In two years, you'd have four NBA second round picks helping the team. If you draft right, you can find four guys that can contribute. It's not that hard. I know many here could draft second round guys that could play a role and help us. I would only pay over the min for seven guys. The rest, use the second round or Europe or NBA Dleague guys to fill out the roster. Granted, it's easier said than done to clean up this mess, but I think this would be a good plan for whomever the new gm ends up being. It might take 2-3 years to execute this plan, however. But it would always keep our roster and cap in a friendly position.

Oh yeah, this is kind of what Boston did. They obtained two marquee players to pair with their one star. They then went with lesser and cheaper names to fill out the roster.

Looking back, I am guessing we could have put together a better offer for KG and likely could have gotten Allen (well maybe Pierce actually) for Yi and fillers. I would take a KG, Redd, Pierce, Bogut nucleus with a bunch of no names and take my chances, even if it meant giving up Bogut and CV to make the KG trade work...

I would've traded Bogut and the #6 pick (Yi) if thats all it took for us to get KG.

If we only had a huge expiring contract than it could have easily been done.
