We checked the Bucks' VIP seats, no sign of an oil slick.

I think you've hit on a key point for future debate.....most of us use the term "build around" when referring to Bogut. In reality we probably should use the phrase "retain Bogut" simply because it is hard to find competent 14/10 centers.

It is a semantics thing, but I agree with you that you can't "build around" a guy with Bogut's limited offensive game.....we've got to get one or two players one this roster much better than him. But at the same time, I'll keep him because of his value.

Fair call , but the focus seems on here for the team is to get rid of everyone but Andrew. It also comes important when paying him next time - bigger the contract the less is the ability to attact a new PG

I also think Bogut is probably our best player and that in itself tells a big part of the story about just how far away this franchise is from being anywhere near a contender.

If Andrew Bogut is your best player and the guy on your team that you'd least like to trade, your roster has big problems.

Mix in all the bad contracts and all Bucks fans should accept that there is no quick fix to getting the franchise in much better shape. More losing the next few years at least is a near certainty, barring some very fortunate luck in the lottery.

Will admit it was the pacers, and we were pleased no Pacer was arrested during the game nor were there any arrests at their homes.

Man, you are on fire tonight

"Play" magazine in today's Sunday NY Times has a story called Big Time Losers. Talks about how owners of bad NBA franchises don't have to do a thing with their teams to make them better. Can be impervious to losing and pressure to reform.

All they have to do is hold the team year after year after year. And watch the value of the franchise go up and up and up.

(The Bucks aren't mentioned.)

Does say: "the N.B.A. hopes to establish a league in China soon and is making other moves that would cause franchise values to rise."

I'll say it again. I may wind up rooting for the Beijing Bucks.

At first I was impressed this morning that no arrests even after the game but then I realized it was Sunday night and the strip clubs were closed!!! Otherwise you might have been right.

The really fun fact to come out of the game for me was that bogut clearly looked to be hurting badly. A couple of times he went down hard (once trying to draw a charge), grabbed straight for the hip, took a long time to get up and had a big grimmace on his face. No doubt he was also struggling up the floor and trying to get off the ground a few times as well. Just after he was hurt he caught on a break and I think it was Dunleavy was able to foul him really easily, when bogut went to elevate he went absolutely nowhere.

Prepare for our new consensus best player to be shutdown any day now.

shooting like 2-20 in the past 2 games.

last night
Bobby Simmons: 3-14 (8 mil?)
Charlie Bell: 2-7 (4.5 mil?)
Gadzuric: 2-8 (6 mil?)
Yi: 1-4 (who cares?)
CV: 1-6 (whines and then sucks?)

TOTAL SHOOTING PERCENTAGE: 23%

and people are complaining about Bogut?

Damn. That's brutal.

Coupled with defense so bad that the BucksLive commentator (Mike?) acknowledged that the lack of effort was so pronounced that it was obvious in the telecast.

I think the players have pre-jet lag. Their hearts and minds are already deplaning in Beijing.

No seriously, Bucks suprised me how bad they really are. I expected crazy Mo after that Spurs game. I expected around 35 from Mo. I expected Redd owning Dunleavy (or what ever is his name). Blah
